Scored a Free Bike!
A client and I were discussing cycling and she mentioned that she quit riding after having knee and hip replacement and if she does ride it’s going to be on her mountain bike. The conversation went towards what bicycle she rode, and then she told me that she considered selling it and that being that it was older, but she didn’t want to deal with it. And said she would want to see it go to someone who would use it. So I’m now the new to me owner of a 2009 Felt z25. She mentioned it cost her over $3000 and had been sitting for around 5 years. After getting it home and giving it a thorough wash, I was amazed at how well it actually works. As it sits, it’s a size 54, 18lbs and that’s with a gel padded seat. It’s all 10spd Dura Ace except the cranks are carbon FSA SLK. Good thing the woman was tall and 54 is my size! I’ve ordered a different seat as well as bar tape but will look for different bars as well as I don’t like the shape of these. Only bad part now is I have to wait till Saturday to go on a ride, must have been my lucky day. Cheers!
