For employment based (EB2) green card applications, how long are you all waiting?

I submitted my I-485 about a year ago and am still waiting to hear back.

The USCIS website that displays the case processing times is currently showing 80% of cases are completed after 10 months for field offices, and 80% of cases are completed after 35 months for “Service Center Operations” (SCOPS).

I read somewhere that most employment-based applications are handled at “SCOPS”.. so I’m guessing this means I have another 2 years to go?

Would love to hear from anyone who recently went through this process.

Just doing a thought experiment. I rent in NYC and I love it here, but an affordable home that also isn’t complete dogsh*t doesn’t seem to exist.

I’m thinking of doing the opposite of life in the big city, and moving to a small town (or an area outside of a larger town/city) instead.

What I’m looking for is:

- Affordability. I want a home I can be actually proud of coming home to, for around 1 million dollars.

- Proximity to an airport. Doesn’t have to be super close but maybe no more than a 2.5 hour drive to an airport.

- I like four seasons. I also like water. So either somewhere that has 4 seasons or if not, is a maximum 45 minute drive to a nice beach, or is close to a lake where people have boats and actively go out on the water a lot.

Those are my only requirements.

Any ideas?
