What happened to old Islamabad?

Does anyone else feel like old Islamabad and todays Islamabad are almost two different cities?

I remember Islamabad feling quieter, slower, and somehow more peaceful. Roads didn't seem this crowded, evenings felt calmer, and going out didn't require planning around traffic and packed places. There was this sense of space and simplicity that made the city special.

Don't get me wrong, the city has grown in many good ways too. There are more restaurants, more activities, and more things happening than ever before. But sometimes I miss that old Islamabad vibe where life felt less rushed and the city had a unique calmness to it.

Or maybe I'm just getting older and romanticizing the past.Maybe this is just nostalgia talking, but I'm curious: for those who've lived here for a long time, what do you miss most about old Islamabad, and what do you think has improved in the new Islamabad?
