Why are people in this sub so negative about starting out on a zx6r?

I don’t understand it’s literally a bike like any other just with more punch. Just don’t do anything stupid. Instead of trying to downplay someone how about some advice since y’all are such professionals.

New rider, ZX 6R as first bike

I just recently went through the MSF course about a little under 2 months ago, and I originally wanted to go with an R3, but a friend of mine who owns a CBR 1000RR told me that I would get tired of that bike real fast then I would have the urge to sell it for a bike with more potential so I took his word for it. I then started looking into the R7, but then I saw this beauty and it was love ❤️ at first sight.

I pulled the trigger on this bike so fast. After a few weeks on rain mode I now feel comfortable to ride in road mode ( still being very mindful of this bikes potential of course ) I will never underestimate this beast. I’ve already done a few mods myself, nothing too crazy since I’m still within the break in period.

List of mods:

- SC Project slip on
- NRC fender eliminator
- radiator cover
- tank grip
- quad lock
- among some other maintenance related stuff

I plan to learn and work on it myself, I never thought I would love a hobby so much, I’m still fairly new so if you guys have any tips please shoot them my way I would highly appreciate it.

Last night as I was installing the quad lock and I accidentally dropped a 3mm Allen key in between the handle bars and the gas tank ( I’m a cooked ? ) I was thinking maybe just removing the top side fairings and lifting the tank to try and fish it out 😭.
