An extremely concerning YouTube channel
I am posting here to bring attention to a YouTube channel I was recently recommended that hosts some troubling content. The channel currently has 3 public videos, all of which revolve around the channel owner's intention to commit suicide. The videos are recorded in Minecraft, and they communicate through the in game text chat. They do not speak or show their face. Their first and most popular video is rather cryptic, but gives a date in the description, June 19, 2026. The second video is more gameplay oriented, but they added a lot more context in the description. They clarify that they created the channel as a memorial for their loved ones to find after they're gone, as a way to show them a side of themselves they never got to in life. In their third and most recent video(less than an hour ago at time of posting), they go into much more detail about their life. They talk about having a warped perception of relationships due to being exposed to adult content at an early age online, and how they were groomed into exposing themselves on Discord by a 17 year old when they were 10. They speak about having suicidal friends and how that also impacted their mental health, and how they began drinking and attempted suicide twice. Their parents eventually discovered their drinking problem and berated them for it, even screaming at them as they were having a panic attack. They spend the last third of the video about how they hate themselves, how they feel they are a burden to others and especially to their parents, and how their previous attempts make them more sure in their decision. They thank the viewers in this video and the previous ones, talking about how they feel guilty that so many people are concerned about them.
I have already reported all three videos to YouTube, but I'm unsure where to go from here and I'm skeptical of YT's moderation ability, considering the oldest video is 9 days old and already has over 50,000 views. The only identifying information that they've disclosed is that they're a minor and that they are most likely from the UK, Australia or New Zealand, based on their use of the dd/mm/yyyy date format, the British spelling of mum and their videos being in English. If anyone has any advice on what to do next, please share. I don't know what to do and I don't want another young life to be lost to suicide.
