did anyone else become way too independent because asking for anything felt impossible?
i used to think being “low maintenance” was just part of my personality, but honestly i think i just learned early that needing help, comfort, or attention usually came with guilt attached to it. so now i do everything myself, keep things to myself, and tell people i’m fine even when i’m clearly not
the annoying part is people compliment it like it’s such a good thing, when half the time it’s really just not knowing how to rely on anyone
anyone else realize this about themselves later on?
