So I've gotten into freshwater fishing lately and loving it! First catch was a massive softshell turtle.
I'm mainly fishing with a sliding bobber (those neon balsawood stick guys) splitshot and Aberdeen hook mainly for panfish. I recently got polarized glasses to cut the glare, but was wondering if there's any tips for the nearly blind anglers out here.
Is this even possible? I'm looking for a fun challenge, already playing on hardmode. Can you play/beat the game with just using your action skill and grenades/heavy guns?

Is there a good way to connect the rods? Are there reels that fit in that cool case or should I just find a 1000 reel. I do like the KastKing Zephyr
So my Daiwa 2026 Crossfire LT says to use 8lb Mono 0.23mm. My line i bought is 8lb Mono 0.25mm
Do I need to get the correct size or is it too small a difference to matter?
So i got my first Ugly Stik (Gx2) and only just now found out its all one long piece. Which is totally fine, no weak points.
I guess what I'm asking is, for those that walk/travel to fishing spots do people have a preference for rods that break down? Also, I'm tempted to grab that Ugly Stik Dock Runner since its only 3ft.
