Cleared the Brain in the funniest way possible in BG2

I surely am not the first to have this happen, but this is my actual first run for Baldur's Gate II SoA and I found it too funny not to share.

So I was having a bit of a hard time throughout the Underdark. Never got the Shield of Balduran, possibly a mistake many make when going in blind into the game and not following any guides. Sufffice it to say, I was highly cranky about any sort of psionics shenanigans after fighting like a hundred Gauths and Beholders.

I enter the Easter Tunnels, get kidnapped. Find myself at the edge of my seat when the githyanki suggest their plan, run away to find a way out as soon as they tell me to. Despite me being a DnD player I somehow managed not to take into consideration the possibility of an Elder Brain being nearby.

But I didn't even get to be surprised and subsequently piss my pants upon finding it in the last room. I had collared three different ilithids by the time I made it to the last sections of the place. I was having some trouble fighting a bunch of ilithids after a corridor, managed to collar one to open a door that required it, and was hoping for it to be the last door to need it since I ran out of collars. As I fought the last bunch of enemies with some trouble, I had issues with the positioning of my team and sent my newly acquired tentacled buddy down a corridor so he didn't stand between me and my enemies, and also so he survives in case I need him for more doors. I did this expecting for there to be a bit more of the dungeon to explore.

Since I was fighting someone else as I sent him away, and due to the fact that these kinds of summons and dominated enemies do not reveal anything in the fog of war, it took me a good bit to realise he had seen something I couldn't yet, left my side in a pinch and cast something to confuse Elder Brain. He managed to do so in his FIRST ATTEMPT. Then followed a few lines about him attempting to cast Devour Brain on it (which is honestly just perfect in a sarcastically wicked way). He did this for like 3 turns, during which the Brain did absolutely nothing more than, well, be confused. My man was dealing 5 dmg to it each turn. Then his fourth Devour Brain succeeded, and just KILLED it.

So, as I was finishing sorting out inventory after the previous fight, I noticed the long line about you defeating (hah) the Elder Brain and what an incredible deed that is. To me, this was one of the funniest things that could possibly happen here, and a sort of amazing origin story for an ilithid who, due to being dominated by you, BY MEANS OF THE COLLARS THEY MAKE TO ENSLAVE OTHERS, NO LESS, becomes finally free of the yoke of doing as the Brain pleases and fucking eats it.
