Used Tesla Model 3 Performance (cheaper) vs Model Y Long Range (pricier) — which is the smarter long-term buy if I drive a LOT?

I’m in Dubai and about to buy a used Tesla, torn between two cars and could use some outside perspective. Option 1 is a 2021 Model 3 Performance at ~70k AED with 100k km. Option 2 is a 2022 Model Y Long Range at ~90k AED with 90k km. Both are in good condition with comparable battery health, and I’m getting home charging sorted at my building. The wrinkle in my case is mileage — I drive around 2,500 km a month (~30k/year) on a mixed city-and-highway commute, so whatever I buy will be a fairly high-km car (~180–190k km) by the time I’d likely sell in about three years.
Affordability isn’t really the question — I can comfortably manage either and I save a big chunk of my income each month, so I’m trying to make the smartest long-term call, not just the cheapest one. My budget when I started was around 80k, which the Model 3 fits and the Model Y breaks by about 10k. I’ve run the numbers and I think it’s close to a wash over three years: the Y costs more upfront but seems to hold value better and be much easier to resell (SUV, best-selling model, bigger buyer pool), while the Performance is cheaper to buy but burns through expensive 20” tyres fast and feels like it’d be a harder, slower sell at high km. So the extra ~20k for the Y looks like it mostly comes back at resale, making the real gap small. Resale ease and value retention matter to me more than anything else.
So which would you pick, and am I overthinking the 20k? I’d especially love to hear from anyone who’s (a) run a Model 3 Performance long-term in a hot climate — how brutal are the tyre and running costs really; (b) actually sold a high-km Tesla and can say whether the Y is genuinely easier to move than the 3; or (c) thinks I’m wrong that these are roughly a financial wash. Thanks!
