The best Dad a girl could have. 77 today!
I was adopted at birth, diagnosed with cerebral palsy at 9mths. Surgery at 10. Dad taught me how to adapt to my abilities. Taught me tennis and never held me back. Happy 77th!

The Kia Soul pulled in moments before the driver of the Toyata left. Little old woman. Front end damage when she pulled out. Now the Kia looks like it parked badly.
This is Red our resident Cardinal. Caught him today taking a bath.
My (41f) family of 5 along with my parents along with my sister and her family of 6 went to Dollywood 6/15-6/19. I have had epilepsy for 6mths now. Focal caused by my mild cerebral palsy.
Monday-Wednesday I had 9 seizure auras. Several of them had the nausea and odd smell. But most were just numb tingling over my head and body. Not sure what was setting mr off. I was staying hydrated, in shade as much as possible and refrained from going on rides. One was enough.
Thursday and Friday I was fine. We drove home Friday (7hrs). On Saturday we drove 2hrs to meet my brother and his family at a pool party (I didn't get in) I ended up having 10 auras that day. All just the numb tingling that lasted less than a minute. Sunday I had a couple.
Monday (6/22) I had a follow up appointment for something else (all good) but I ended up having 13 auras throughout the day.
This morning (6/23) I had my 6mth follow up with the neuro. In total I experienced 35+ auras by appt time in the last week. The neuro is upping my Keppra to 2500 and if that doesn't help she wants to run some tests.
I'm tired of feeling this way. Fearful of a breakthrough tonic clonic (only had the two that started this whole thing). Hoping that the new dosage and down time will make things better.
I feel so lost.
I (41f) was diagnosed with Focal epilepsy that was determined to be caused by my mild cerebral palsy. My first 2 (hopefully only) tonic clonics were triggered by a multi day migraine just before Christmas 2025.

This week we drove from Ohio to Tennessee to go to Dollywood with family in a rented 15 passenger van. My husband, 3 kids and my parents. I knew this week would be stressful because my mother makes vacations stressful but this is the first since diagnosis.

We left on Monday. I experienced 2 auras (nausea, numb/tingling and odd smell) on the drive down, great... i hoped it was just the stress of the drive (husband drove). Tuesday I had a total of 5 auras (same symptoms). Three happened at Dollywood (all less than 2 mins) and two back at the resort. FML! Why can't I enjoy the vacation without worrying?

Today we were at the Waterpark. I made sure to keep hydrated and in the shade. My parents didn't go so it was my husband and I along with my sister and BIL with the 7 kids. Sister and BIL are aware and kept making sure I was ok. I had two auras today.

Before this week the last time I had auras was in April. Before diagnosis I only had 2-3 a year during migraines. Tomorrow we are going back to Dollywood and Friday we head home. I wish it was Friday already. I don't like that these auras are now happening outside migraines. I wish I could go back and change things.
