3 to 28 with my Nana :)

My Nana passed away 4 months ago after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She truly was one of the most important people in my life 🥰

My late mom in 1941, 1951 and 2008

Last pic is the product of some sloppy/quick photoshoppery (mostly clone stamp) so that I might have a portrait of my mom in her final years. She died about 18 months later.

1976 vs 2026

Had a lot of fun re-creating the shirt!!

EDIT: I bought a cheap white button-down shirt from a department store, then picked up some ink and pattern stencils from Michael’s that closely matched the pattern on my old elementary school shirt. My partner and I spent about six hours coloring in the designs by hand with artist pens. It was a fun project, and we’re really happy with how it turned out.

My siblings and I recreated our oh-so-stylish outfits from the Bicentennial. Happy 4th of July – 50 years later!

This replica of the Liberty Bell was touring for the 1976 Bicentennial, so we put on our favorite summer outfits (LOL) and went to check it out at the Navy base—right next door to the student housing project where we grew up. Grateful to still have our amazing mom with us, always game for a little family fun. Happy 250th everyone!

My mom made me the original outfit and the 40 year old outfit. She's the best.

I posted this years ago when we recreated it. I'm 47 now.

Edit: thanks for the love. My mom is awesome. I just showed her some of the comments. My kids get a kick out of this too. Dad will always be embarrassing.

My best friend [28F] and I [29F] first photo to now. 15 years of friendship!

I love her so much. She's that woman who has seen me in all my pain and glory and chooses every day to be my friend. We have lived cross country from one another and still find time for each other. I'm so happy that we met in high school and remained close all these years. Her family is now my family and vice versa.
