Statement ng victim-survivor sa case ni ex-CAL Rep Jober Pillas tungkol sa paggamit ng case for politicking

“First and foremost, i’ll be straightforward that I AM the victim of the rape case of the expelled CAL Rep to the USC Jobert Pillas. And I’m releasing this statement or whatever you call this just to clear up what I read from Alyansa’s statement last night.”

“Una sa lahat, walang tulong na naibigay ang CALSC sa mga victims noong putok ang issue ng rape case ni Pillas. I get it na mali ang naisagawa ng USC noon na gawing attorney ang SOLAIRE rep noon pero sa totoo lang, hindi naman nagtagal yung paghandle ni Atty. Jess kay Pillas. Nagresort si Pillas sa PAO and oo, naglalabas na sila ng pera to the point na nagbbeg na yung family ni Pillas sa akin para pagbigyan sila for the filing of bail."

“Second, I DO NOT CARE kung sinong nauna magcall ng general assembly. Hindi ko gets bakit yun ung pinupunto ninyo na “biggest” help na naisagawa niyo sa mga victim-survivors. Hindi niyo ba naisip na releasing that kind of statement triggers the trauma of the victims?"

“Third, I know what’s happening from the start kasi nga, AKO YUNG VICTIM una pa lang. I don’t need to explain further details, but all I need to clear out is the issue na dinadrag ngayon sa UP Election season. Nakakabastos lang ginagamit yung situation ng case just to uplift the image of YOUR PARTY when in fact, hindi talaga mauuplift yan."

“Yes, there is external help na nakuha ko (not external na sa labas talaga ng UP but it’s the reason why i’m still sane up until now), but like I said hindi ko kailangan pa iexplain at expound pa dahil mamatay na ang kaso and all there is a need to do is BE AWARE and BECOME MORE HANDS ON sa mga future na victim ng ganitong situations."

"Stop using such cases to bring light sa party niyo and ngayon lang kayo naglabas ng ganito just because nabuhay ang issue sa MDA. Kung wala ang MDA, magkakaroon ba kayo ng pakielam sa kaso?”

This was posted in the victim-survivor’s public social media account and I intentionally erased the name for the victim-survivor’s privacy, but I think the message is very clear. Stop using the case for your political gimmicks. Just stop.

In the past few days and weeks, there has been much clamor about why we should vote for this candidate or why we should for that candidate. I'm here to share my sentiments on why I WILL NOT VOTE FOR ANY ALYANSA CANDIDATE THIS ELECTION SEASON.

For context, I'm a student na umattend sa Grand Parangal ni Alyssa Alano and all I can say is: nasaan kayo sa mga panahong iyon ALYANSA candidates? Isipin niyo, habang nagluluksa, nakikiramay, at nagbibigay pugay ang mga iskolar ng bayan kasi collectively NAMATAYAN TAYO ng isa satin, you couldn't even be bothered to pay respects and be one with the grieving UP Community? Utterly shameful. Habang nagluluksa ang sangkaestudyantehan sa Grand Parangal ni Alyssa, you were still campaigning room-to-room?

And after all that, magrrelease ng statement ang ALYANSA na you stand in solidarity with the community and condemn the killings in Negros but you couldn't even be bothered to show up when it counted? As a voter and student, what this tells me is that you would much rather take the opportunity to campaign rather than grieve with the UP Community. And for this reason, among others, I am not voting for any one of your candidates.

If you think a flimsy statement is enough to campaign for the lives that we lost, you are SORELY and GRAVELY mistaken. Shame. Just pure and utter shame on all of you.
