For context I’m ranked around the top 350 out of 3.8k ish overall globally. Is this resume worthy? I’m an underclassman too, so I’m gonna try to apply to early quant programs and not the internships right now.
I think in general a consensus I’m hearing is that a lot of competitive programming achievements are devalued heavily nowadays due to widespread AI cheating. Platforms like CodeForces and USACO I’ve heard were especially plagued with this, hence why many recruiters no longer give the same respect to these two platforms.
Do firms put more of a significant emphasis on proctored competitions (ICPC, Putnam, USAMO, etc)? I want to know the general consensus of others regarding this niche topic.
Hey UT Austin students. I am writing this to clarify a misunderstanding I currently have regarding how class reservation works in orientation. As of now, I know that major related classes are reserved for each session proportionally. However, I don’t know the specifics, such as which classes are exactly reserved.
I’m currently planning on taking CS 314 , CS 311, and M 408 D (I have AP credit to satisfy all prerequisites. And yes, I know that this schedule in first semester freshman year will be highly challenging). Im wondering whether or not these classes are reserved for freshmen or not during orientation.
