Anyone else hope Cole comes back to making shorter, more concise albums that carry out a specific concept?

I hope he’s not done rapping, even if he’s done with being “J Cole” on wax, like he hinted at

Iono what he would come back as, but I hope he makes some 10-12 track albums that are airtight like KOD and 4YEO and stick to a consistent theme

Hell, Birthday Blizzard is 4 track perfection IMO

TFO is too long and rambling, please Cole, brevity is the soul of wit my brother

Cole never toppin’ 4YEO or Born Sinner Deluxe

Easily his 2 best LPs, my 2 favorites, can loop ’em forever and never get tired of ‘em since the very day they both dropped

Honestly, none of his other albums hit like that, The Off Season is the closest and comes in 3rd place

— FNL does, but that’s a tape

— MDL hits in the car when you in the mood for that

— FHD is very overrated IMO (and the bonus CD is mostly mid outside 2-3 tracks) and The Fall Off is bloated as fuck, almost makes you snooze faster than MMATBS

— KOD deffo crazy slept on, it’s a great concept album pairing with 4YEO and I love the experimental beats on it and Cole taking us on a journey of addiction and living in false realities

— I love Cole, I think that should be obvious, these just my takes… I was spinning 4YEO and BS Deluxe the last couple days and I’m like these joints get better with every listen, nothing else really does for me… I was tryna get back into The Fall Off after bumping it all February and it was like… nahhh, he tryna do too much with these campfire stories track after track and boring beats

Aight, time to play 4YEO front to back for like the 7th time in 48 hours, PEACE

Be honest; how many tracks you skippin’ on FnL Part 2 when you let that thang ride all on your own?

For me, 14 years after it dropped, I gotta say I skip ZERO tracks

Even Lu’s sis spoken word poem sets the tone for 16 banging rap songs

It’s just a very fun, flawless album that I can let ride and vibe with the whole way through

Standout jams: Round My Way, Audubon Ballroom, Bitch Bad, Form Follows Function, Unforgivable Youth(crazy storytelling going on here), Cold War, Battlescars

Underrated tracks like Put Em Up, How Dare You, Hood Now, Lambo Angels, and Go To Sleep stay slapping

— DROGAS Wave will always be my favorite Lupe joint

— The Cool is his one true stone cold classic

— TnY is his abstract masterpiece

— DMIZ and Samurai are very digestible and accessible projects, that follow through on their concepts (Drill culture being a cancer for black youth, and the personal/spiritual journey of an artist perfecting their craft)

— Lasers his super commercial joint

— FnL 1 his fresh and smooth as fuck debut

— Pharaoh Height, ROTN, House Ep… classic tapes and EPs for sure

But iono what it is about FnL 2, it’s a masterpiece in its own rights, the beats are pretty mainstream but the lyrics and song concepts are very advanced

And rn I can’t stop bumping it at home, in the whip, cycling, hooping, w/e… it’s definitely a summer album

PS: Even the 2 Poo Bear tracks have a charm to em!

Can I listen to Drake even though I never got any pussy?

Fair is fair, right?

If Drake only makes music for people who get pussy, then it’d be incredibly rude of me to insert myself where I don’t belong and start bumpin’ his jamz, even on my headphones when I’m alone in my room (which is always)

It would be a whole other level of disrespect and unculturedness to sneak listen Drake’s music, when pussy doesn’t even get inside a ten foot radius of my presence

I respect artists way too much to go against their intent and the purpose of their art, no matter what type of artist and when and where they are from

For example, if Michelangelo said he didn’t carve statues for “ninjas who don’t get pussy”, I would rather stab out my eyes than gaze upon his masterworks

Plus, I wouldn’t be able to relate to ANY of Drake’s music and so what would be the point?

Everyone else around me will be bumpin’ Drizzy and actually know what it’s like to have your member inside of a gal’s holes, and I wouldn’t be able to vibe along… ”That pussy kinda sound like waves hittin’”… sure buddy, I’ll just take your word on that!

I probably wouldn’t pick up on at least half the metaphors, word plays, and storylines… only thing I can really relate to is buying a slice of pizza when you are “down to pennies”, I don’t even know what it is like to have my mom buy me an Acura for my first car :-(

Anyways, will I be a fraud?

Will I even be able to physically press play, or is this some universal law of physics?
