For anyone with AM5N, ASIAIR, and asi2600 or similar setups (plus guiding camera and dew heaters)
Do you power everything from the saddle 12vDC port on the AM5N?
I've been researching the AM5N before upgrading, but I'm finding conflicting information about the saddle DC output. Some people say the saddle port is limited to 12V / 3A, meaning the ASI2600 should have its own dedicated power source. Others claim they're powering their entire imaging setup from the saddle port without any issues (ASIAIR, cooled camera, guide camera, and dew heaters). Then I see a discussion here claiming the port is capable of more than 5A throughput...
I have a Anker Solix C300 DC power station with a 12v10A output. Is it possible to do 12v10A -> AM5N -> saddle DC output -> Asiair+ -> DC out to 2600, dew heaters, USB out to guiding camera? really appreciate any real use feedback!
First attempt with my new gear. Shoot from roof top right between DFW and DAL airports. It’s a battle with light pollution but also gave me some confidence knowing that things are possible even under bortle 9

I can’t find this cake anywhere, so I made this cake topper to turn any cake into exactly that :)

Please wrap something like aluminum foil around the stems (as showed in the picture 3) as a food-safe barrier before inserting into the cake
My First dedicated APO for astrophotography, the build quality is just amazing! there should definitely be more accessories with blue anodized aluminum 💙
