it should be alright to add an extra day to the trip, while keeping the primary destination the same, right?
hello all, my family and i originally planned to visit Switzerland (5 days) and Italy (3 days), but now weve changed our flight so that we have an extra day in Switzerland. will this cause any problems? tia

to dolomiti or not to dolomiti... that is the question
hi everyone, my family and i are going to be in europe in early september, we'll be in italy for a pretty short time, 3/09 - 7/09.
we're looking for a pretty relaxed trip, basically just walking around in the countryside eating authentic italian food.
no one's that interested in hiking for this trip, no one really cares for wine tasting/truffle hunting, or luxury hotels/shopping and we wont have a car. Not looking for places where the main attraction is historical architecture either. something a little lesser known or not very touristy would be nice
we'll be travelling from Zurich so someplace in the north that we can reach within 8 or so hours of travelling (no flights) would be ideal.
given this information, what would be the best part of the alps for us?
i really want to do Seiser Alm, and explore the dolomites in general but im afraid we wont be able to do much with our little inclination to hike.. im also afraid that it may be too crowded
would something like Piedmont or Tuscany be worth it when their main attractions dont attract us? the countryside is stunning but again bcs of no car im afraid we wont be able to do much here
something like aosta valley and other regions of the alps also seem really nice..
any input is appreciated.
ps i know i shouldve done more research but for reasons i wont specify here i have to plan an itinerary pretty quickly, and searching for stuff got quite overwhelming. this country has too many pretty places..
