I was complaining about the uneasesary excessive emotions in the serie but i changed my mind when i realised this!!
The characters are in middle school specifically fourth grade so they are probably 10 to 9 years old so their way of thinking is totally accurate
Also in the part when they grow old we can see the change of personality
