PUP graduate planning to take a second degree in UP Diliman — do I need to retake GE courses?
Hi! I’m currently taking BA Communication at PUP, and I’m considering taking a second bachelor’s degree at UP Diliman after I graduate.
I’m currently looking at BS Economics or BS Business Economics at UPD.
For those who have experience with taking a second degree in UPD, I have a few questions:
- If I already completed my GE/General Education courses at PUP, can these be credited/validated by UPD, or would I have to take UPD’s GE courses again?
- How does the crediting/validation process work for courses taken from another university?
- Would my previous PUP courses reduce the number of units/courses I need to take for the second degree?
- Approximately how long does it usually take to finish a second degree in UPD if you already have a bachelor's degree?
- Specifically for BS Economics or BS Business Economics, are there prerequisites or major courses that I should expect to take from scratch?
- And lastly, how difficult is it to get accepted as a second-degree applicant for these programs?
