Hi,
I had 1 day off (sickness) it was 5.5 hours (6 hour shift, 30 min break).

Will I get paid for this? If so, does anyone know how much?

I’m going to bullet point this.

• signed a contract this month for a new tenancy starting from early may

• upon the contract, it says I have a fixed term of 6 months so until end of October / beginning of November - does this apply to the new gov rules?

Pls can someone let me know if i can give 2 months notice on first of may or if it’s different because i signed a fixed assured shorthold tenancy mid April 2026 … pretty sure my landlord suggests i cant move until April - wanted to know the truth.

I need advice.

I have recently put my first months deposit down and paid first months rent upfront to my landlord (before I signed the contract) and now signed the contract for my tenancy beginning 01/05/2026.

After signing tenancy, I have found out the area is extremely unsafe for young women, so I obviously don’t want to stay there anymore.

The landlord isn’t being clear what my options are, so is somebody able to tell me.
