I've been using VD with Quest 3 for sim racing for years. Never had an issue. The other day I couldn't get the VD streamer app to launch on my PC. When trying to run the exe as an administrator, I got an error saying "this app has been blocked for your protection".

I got the same error when trying to uninstall VD.

I went through all the trouble shooting steps I could find online:

• Turning off windows 11 smart app control
• Turning off windows 11 reputation-based protection
• There is no "unblock" option in the exe properties
• Running the exe and the installer via the command line
• Reinstalling windows via the windows 11 recovery function (preserves apps, files, settings)
• I don't have any third party antivirus programs

Eventually I used Geek Uninstall to remove VD entirely.

Now I'm trying to re-install VD and I'm still getting the same error saying this app has been blocked.

At this point I'm lost. No idea what to try next. Anyone ever run into this or have any ideas?

Do I need to do a full clean install of windows...?
