Cat under eye swollen (13 year old male)

I took my cat to the Vet yesterday to urgent care they injected antibiotics and a 3 day supply of anti inflammatory meds. We are waiting on his lab results 24-48 hours! To then schedule his x rays. What concerns me, is the vet said in her 12 years she hasn’t seen anything like this and it’s either one of two a tooth infection or tumor! Any similar experiences??
