BDCP acceptance to be a pilot
I’m applying for the BDCP program for either Naval Aviator or NFO.
I am a 19F. Right now I have a 3.3 GPA finishing my sophomore year at embry riddle, but I’m taking 2 more classes this summer to try and bring it up. I’m majoring in Air Traffic Management with a minor in Aviation Safety. I’m physically fit, already have a first-class medical, and I’ve been active on campus with an officer position in one of my organizations.
I want to apply as soon as possible, but I’m wondering if I realistically have a competitive shot at BDCP aviation with my current stats. Is the GPA a big issue for pilot/NFO selection, or would the leadership/extracurriculars help balance it out? Also, is there anything specific I should focus on before applying? I plan on studying for the specialized tests.
