Veterans Groups good and bad.

Do you have opinions of them? I was a member of the Legion but switched to the VFW, no opinion yet on them because I haven't asked for help yet. They, however, do not have constant commercials begging for funds.

No commercials from the Legion, either.

Bring on the DAV with a celebrity saying how great they are, give us money... "Only 63 cents a day", which is the same thing on the other grifter charity ads like the Homeless Teenagers one... I have an idea, Kid... Get off your ASS and get a RADIO EDIT Job!!!

The DAV also has the commercial where they ask people to thank a Veteran. That's the last thing I want, I don't wear anything that says Army or have DV or Army plates, none of that. I don't want to talk to a Civilian unless they are working in a store or whatever.

Now of course, if someone used DAV and they were stellar, your opinion would be the Polar opposite of mine.

What is your group, and have they helped you?

CPAP with COPD?

I just got my CPAP this week, but haven't used it. I don't think my COPD is even listed for the Doc to look at, so maybe they thought I only had Apnea. Doesn't the water tank defeat the entire purpose of breathing properly?

Water in the Lungs isn't good of course, so why do these things have a water tank? Why isn't it Oxygen?

Linking disabilities...

I'm wondering if people have experience linking issues? I have service linked PTSD, non service linked Sleep Apnea, even though it's from my Lung and Heart issues thanks to the Anthrax Vaccine (Lungs) and Celebrex (Heart)...

The VA refuses to diagnose me with any Heart issues or COPD, but they magically gave me 100% IU without me pressing it. I say that was to shut me up, which worked until I figured out what Sleep Apnea was when I involuntarily sat up from a dead sleep and gasped for air. That was lots of fun.

Anyway, I can't get blood tests for High Sensitivity C-Reactive Protein or Homocysteine, which are both linked to Heart problems. They flat out won't do the tests as part of the full CBC / CMP, unlike Civilian labs.

They also won't do a thing for the Lungs. They want me to breathe through a tube. That's as far as I have gotten for testing. If I couldn't breathe through a tube, I wouldn't be here. I can't BREATHE IN, Rocket Surgeons!

So yes, you can tell my relationship with the VA isn't stellar.

Any advice linking the obvious? Will Civilian diagnosis reports help?
