I’m planning to invest ₹80K in mutual funds with a 5-year horizon.
Currently, I have:
Quant Small Cap Fund: ₹9,383
Navi Nifty 50 Index Fund: ₹40,569
I wouldn’t technically call myself a beginner, but I haven’t invested properly or followed a clear strategy so far. So please consider me a beginner and guide me accordingly.
Horizon: 5 years
Amount to invest: ₹80K
Risk appetite: Moderate, with a little risk appetite
Goal: Good returns without taking excessive risk
I’m confused between Flexi Cap, Multi Cap, Large Cap, Mid Cap and Small Cap.
What category/categories would make sense for me, and which specific fund(s) would you pick and why?
Also, should I invest the ₹80K as a lump sum or spread it out through SIP?
Looking for advice on how to structure this rather than simply picking a fund based on past returns.
Looking for a Hindi script writer for a documentary-style channel (history / current affairs / cinema). Think the style of channels like Mighty Monk and Wronged — strong research, tight storytelling, honest narration.

Joining a Devices team as L5 in about 3 weeks, and want to walk in with realistic expectations. I'll be honest — I've read pretty much everywhere that the pressure is immense and the culture can be toxic, and that's been on my mind. Trying to separate the real picture from the horror stories.
A few questions for anyone who's ramped recently:
Anything you wish you'd known before your first day would be hugely appreciated. Thanks.
First time moving to Bangalore – Need advice on temporary stay + finding a 1RK/1BHK near Doddanekundi/Marathahalli/Bagmane
Hi everyone,
I'll be moving to Bangalore for work soon, and this will be my first time living in the city.
My office is near Bagmane Constellation Business Park, so I'm looking for a 1RK or 1BHK in areas like Doddanekundi, Marathahalli, or nearby localities with a reasonable commute.
I'm assuming it may take around 1 week to 10 days (maybe up to 2 weeks) to find a decent flat after I arrive. Because of that, I'm trying to figure out the best temporary accommodation option for the initial period.
Would you recommend:
My priorities are:
One thing I'm trying to avoid is paying a full month's advance/security deposit for a stay that I'll only use for 10–14 days. For example, some coliving options like Zolo seem to require advance payments, and I'm not sure if that's worth it for such a short duration.
For those who have moved to Bangalore recently, what did you do during your flat hunt? Which option worked best and was the most cost-effective?
Also, if you've recently rented a 1RK/1BHK around Doddanekundi, Marathahalli, or nearby areas, I'd appreciate any tips on:
Thanks in advance!
Hey everyone,
My Friend has already signed an offer with Adobe and have cleared 2 rounds of interviews at Arcesium. Only the Hiring Manager round is left.
When the Arcesium HR called yesterday to schedule the final round, he asked if he had any competing offers. He mentioned Adobe. HR then asked about the compensation and shared what he said would be Arcesium's best possible compensation match.
He asked him to think it through and proceed with the final interview only if he would seriously consider joining Arcesium.
I'm sharing the numbers below. Could you please help me evaluate which option would be better overall—not just in terms of compensation, but also growth opportunities, brand value, learning, and work-life balance?
Adobe
Base: ₹22 LPA
RSUs: $60K
Performance Bonus: 10% of base
Other benefits
Total CTC: ~₹40 LPA
Arcesium
Base: ₹30 LPA
Annual Bonus: ₹3 LPA
Fixed Cash Component: ₹3 LPA (₹12L paid over 4 years)
The Arcesium HR mentioned that this is likely the maximum they can offer, though there may still be some room for negotiation.
While Adobe's overall compensation appears higher, a significant portion comes from stock grants, whose value can fluctuate. Arcesium, on the other hand, offers a much larger cash component and higher take-home compensation.
Given these factors, which would you choose and why?
Got an SDE2 offer for a team under Amazon Devices in Bangalore, joining in a few weeks. Excited, but the timing has me uneasy.
With the Jan 2026 cuts on top of last year's, and Devices getting named in basically every layoff round, I keep wondering if I'm walking into a division that's perpetually on the chopping block. The reports about more cuts coming through 2026/2027 aren't helping.
For people currently in or recently in Devices — how stable does it actually feel on the ground? Is it team-dependent? And does being a recent hire make you more exposed if a round hits, or is it mostly org/team-elimination rather than picking off new folks?
Not looking to back out, just want a realistic read so I can plan. Appreciate any honest takes.
26M, I am looking for a semi/Full-furnished flat or house in the ₹20,000–25,000 budget range. Preferably with two-wheeler parking and suitable for a couple.
I am planning to move in by the end of July or early August. If anyone has any leads or recommendations, please let me know. Thanks!
EA Offer:
₹20 LPA base
₹4 LPA variable
150 RSUs over 3 years (50/year at $210)
As per HR, EA is going private and the RSUs are valued at a fixed $210/share upon vesting. We cannot hold and trade.
Current Role (Oracle, IC1):
₹13.44 LPA base
162 RSUs over 4 years (40.5/year)
2 vesting cycles already completed
Total YOE: 2 years 9 months
Would you consider this a good move from Oracle to EA?
One concern I have is that this is still an SE-1 role. On an optimistic timeline, it may take around 2 years to reach SE-2 at EA.
Looking for opinions on:
Career growth
Engineering culture
Quality of work/projects
Work-life balance
Long-term career prospects
For people familiar with EA India, how has your experience been?
