I haven't heard from DOH Eye Center about my surgery..
Problem/Goal: As the title says, I haven't heard from DOH Eye Center about my Cataract Surgery.
For context, I (22M) went to have a schedule for a free Cataract Surgery at East Avenue Medical Center (DOH Eye Center) last March 5. When we asked when would be the exact schedule, the guy who does the biometry said we will get a call, and go back in 3 weeks if we haven't received any call.
Fast forward to 3 weeks later, we went there to check and he said that nakapila na ako and a-apply pa raw sa PhilHealth ng doctor assigned sa case ko kaya it might take a while, 1-3 months to be exact, depending on the doctor and may prioritization daw. We asked if we could get the contact or the doctor pero for privacy reasons, hindi raw pwede.
2 months have gone by, and turning 3 months this June 5. Naga-alala na ako kung tuloy pa rin ba yung surgery ko. We're planning to go back there but I'm afraid we'll get the same response. What would you do in this situation, and if you already had this experience with East Ave., ganito ba talaga katagal? I know naman na it's a charity case, at wala na babayaran kaya I can't complain about the waiting time. It's just that my vision has been affecting my daily life and gusto ko na sana matapos na siya as soon as possible. :((
