Thinking about getting a portable digital piano — would love some advice

I’m using a Terence P37 at home as my practice keyboard — it’s been a decent beginner setup for me so far.

Most of my practice is still at home in the evenings with headphones, but lately I’ve been thinking it would be nice to have something I could take out to places like a park or lakeside. I like the idea of playing outdoors in a more relaxed, open space.

My budget is under $1,000 — that’s about what I can realistically work with right now. My main focus is portability and a realistic piano tone.

Ideally something that feels and sounds as close to an acoustic piano as possible, even in a portable form.

I’ve been looking at Yamaha, Roland, Kawai, and Terence, but there are so many models it’s a bit overwhelming trying to figure out what actually makes sense.

If anyone has recommendations in this price range — especially something genuinely portable — I’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance for any help.
