I rented a movie, thinking it would actually have more subtitles that the free prime included one. It didn't...

For context, I'm a huge horror fan. And I'm always interested in checking out foreign horror movies, Asian, South American, etc.

The problem is I was born and live in Belgium, on the Dutch half of the country. Despite 60% of our population speaking Dutch, (or Flemish, our accent) and only 40% being French, services always seem to assume Belgium is a French only country.

This extends to seemingly Amazon, which often forgoes Dutch subtitles, only providing their original content with all options, while their extended library only ever has French dubs amd subs.

This is no problem for most movies as I'm rather fluent in English, but with foreign horror movies, I just can't get any version I can understand, as both Dutch and English subs are missing, likely in an attempted to prevent VPN abuse, but all the while shooting their regular costumers base in the foot.

I will repeat this until all corporations hear this, Belgium isn't France 2.0 you shitbags, make your services usable for it's Dutch population. Those French wallooners are more likely to pirate shit anyway!
