Ok so I’m a chicken

I finally pulled the trigger on a Redline Goods steering wheel cover for my 15 Touring (manual). I already have their shift boot in black Alcantara with oyster stitching and have “added to cart” half a dozen times with the steering wheel cover. I went with solid black leather on the top and bottom sections with black Alcantara on the sides, again with the oyster stitching (kind of an off white-ish color) because it matches the almond leatherette of my interior very nicely. Now for the chicken part. After placing my order (reading their exhortations about “let us install it for you!”) I decided to watch their video detailing the installation process. Understand that I consider myself an advanced DIYer who has tackled most everything auto related by myself at some point or another. This video demoralized me so badly that I briefly considered cancelling my order! ROFL. Instead I fired up EBay and found a rather crusty looking stock 2016 steering wheel for $97 with free shipping! So, once that and the cover kit arrive I’ll be shipping the whole mess to Redines installer and forking out another $190 so that THEY can sweat bullets about getting glue on the Alcantara instead of me. Cluck, cluck, cluck. Before and after pictures WILL be taken…
