CrumBLE - my personal firmware
Yet another personal fork of CrossInk.. I know. I really enjoyed CrossPoint, CrossPet, DX34, and CrossInk but all of them were missing small things (the biggest being Bluetooth support).

CrumBLE v3.0.0 features
- Bluetooth page-turners + quick-reconnect — pair a remote and flip pages hands-free (pair from the in-book menu, not main Settings). One long-press gets you reconnected next time.
- Fully customizable Collections — build your own shelves and add/remove any book to any collection, no matter where it lives on the SD card.
- On-demand sleep-screen cycling — tap power while asleep to switch backgrounds (transparent PNG overlays supported) — no full reboot.
- Global book-settings drawer — long-press in a book for instant font, size, and more.
- Series stacking (beta) — auto-groups books in a series.
Check it out and let me know what you think! Still sorting through a few bugs — but I'm honestly loving running CrossInk 1.3 with my IINE GameBrick, picking books off my Collections shelf, and rotating my sleep screen without ever fully powering off.
Installation
- Download the latest firmware: https://github.com/imshentastic/CrumBLE/releases (now incorporates CrossInk 1.3 features)
- Flash it at https://crosspointreader.com/#flash-tools
- First boot indexes your library — give it a minute. (First-time indexing is now capped at 24 books, so large 50+ book libraries won't crash.)
Pick your theme
Default system theme should already be Flow for Collections + all CrumBLE features. Use Lyra Carousel for the big CrossInk carousel without Collections, but still with Bluetooth and all my other features.
Controls: Select = select/confirm button · ◀ / ▶ = left/right · ▲ = up · Power = power button
Home carousel — your 5 most recent books
- Browse: ◀ / ▶ to rotate through recent books
- Book options: long-press Select on a book — incl. Remove from Recents (lots to explore here)
Collections (Flow theme)
- Switch collection: ◀ / ▶ while focused on the collection title
- Create / manage: long-press Select on the collection title to make new collections and add/remove books
Reading
- Quick settings overlay: in a book, long-press Select for font, font size, and more
Bluetooth page-turner
- Pair: open a book → short-press Select for the book menu → Bluetooth → turn on → scan → connect. Now your remote turns pages. (Tested with IINE GameBrick & Free2 — let me know if you try others.)
- Quick-reconnect (after first pairing): open a book → long-press Select for the overlay → press ▲ to jump to the BT reconnect shortcut at the bottom
Sleep screens (transparent PNGs supported)
- Cycle backgrounds: while the device is off, short-press Power to cycle to the next custom sleep image **
- Wake: long-press Power
