Devices purchased through these official channels are guaranteed to be Developer Edition devices (unlocked & flashable).

For devices purchased through third-party marketplaces or resellers, we may not be able to guarantee Developer Edition availability, depending on the source and batch.

We understand this has caused some confusion for certain users, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience. We’re also continuing to improve our channel management moving forward.

Goal: Read Word (Docx) on XTEINK.
Use case: I write for a living, and sometimes want to proofread a draft on the go.
I've tried a couple of options:

• Calibre (Memory error, formatting issues)
• Export to PDF -> XTC (doesn't open)
• Custom Python script -> Doesn't open or memory error after 16 pages out of 60
• First convert to markdown, then markdown to epub -> Doesn't open

Maybe it’s a stupid question, but I bought it before I knew about the cross point flashing. Bought it from there beacause Amazon doesn’t have them in my country and from their official website the shipping was outrageously expensive.
Was it worth it? I thought I didn’t need any third party software, and everyone in the comments said they could flash theirs no problem.
What do I do now? Do I cancel my order?

I've been closely following XTEINK readers lately, but I'm trying to figure out the release timeline for the next models (or major upgrades).
Does anyone know if there are any official release dates or product roadmaps available? If nothing official has been announced yet, does anyone from the team or the community have an estimated timeframe based on previous patterns or rumors?

I have been so excited to get my hands on a device and got burned after two purchases.

- Bought from a Chinese seller on Aliexpress last month before we were aware they locked down flashing firmware and one of the first to find that out. Returned.
- Bought from their official site after a return and arrived with a broken screen on first boot

I was so excited to get a working device I even have crosspoint reader feature commits before I even had a working device.

Try Amazon or give up?

Does anyone know how to convert TTF fonts to CPFont fonts?

Trying to decide which screen protector to get for my X3.

Which one are you guys using and are you happy with it?

I’m considering using my X4 as is - not installing the screen protector it comes with and not using a case on it. If you’ve been using it this way, how has your experience been so far? Any scratches on the screen from everyday use? Dents on the body?

I plan to just carry it with me as is, throw it in my bag amongst my other things, put it on any surfaces as is, be it face-down or face-up - no case no screen protector. Is this a bad idea?

I’m still undecided whether to buy this I love the idea of a small e-reader that I could always have with me but not sure how to actually get books onto it! I have a kindle currently and i tried importing my books into calibre but the drm only unlocked for 3 books in my entire library.

I’m not looking to get books for free I’m happy to pay for them just not sure how people generally go about this for this device!

I really dont know what to get. I have a broken X4(waiting for refund) and I mean its small and 4.3 inches is really nice(I have iPhone SE which is 4.7 inches) I have a little bit long fingers, but buttons is not very comfortable. Other way I want X3, but i dont know how Im gonna read on this even smaller thing... Is there users both of X3/X4, please help me!!!

I’ve seen pictures on here of x4s in a case that appears to be both a plastic fitted case with a flip cover. That sounds perfect to me but I can’t seem to find something like that. I’m located in the USA if it matters. Thanks.

Downloaded my first book (epub) onto my x3 from oceanofpdf and I got to chapter two and now all the pages have the same text. Like its the same paragragh written over and over on each page, no matter how far i skip forward its the same and the read % stays at 11%.

Is there something wrong with my device or could it be the file?

I flashed it to crosspoint yesterday, didnt like it and flashed the stock English version back, could that have done something?

Hey hey everyone.

Received my x4 yesterday from Ali and to my surprise, it was unlocked.

Unpacked the delivery on camera (heard the broken screen stories) with no problems. Fully expected it to be locked but thought I'd give USB flashing a go as it wouldn't hurt to check. Fired up the website, input the correct settings for the x4 and selected Crosspoint 1.3.0. Removed the sd card and plugged in the x4, "UDB JTAG/serial debug unit" popped up in the devices list and away i went.

Rebooted and was welcomed by the Crosspoint boot logo!!!

Hella over the moon as I had already come to terms with receiving a locked device!!!

Now I'm gonna start working on my own firmware. Something different.

X3 arrived from AliExpress. Connected to Macbook Pro - no compatible devices found. Removed micro sd - same thing. So is mine locked? Where is the unlocker? Is there a tutorial somewhere? My X3 is in chinese and I don't understand what all the buttons do LOL

I am growing increasingly interested in Crossink and I'm seriously considering flashing it.

So silly question, would I lose everything doing so? I'm talking about reading progress, books in the Recent Books section, Wi-Fi passwords, etc. Or would it transfer over automatically since Crossink is a fork and those settings are stored somewhere on the SD card? Thanks

My eyes are a bit sensitive to the default white color of eink devices (without backlight). So I was wondering if the Xteink default software or CrossPoint Reader lets you change the page color. Like how the Kindle lets you change to a septia background mode (along with white and black options). KOReader also has something similar that you have to program some css code to use it. (Edit: The device I use to change the page color is a Boox Palma; it has no color capability AFAIK.)

I searched through the subreddit for any similar topics to this, but I haven't found any. If any of you all know, help would be much appreciated. Thank you

Edit edit: When I say septia, I'm talking about the devices best approximation of the coding I'm asking for: gray. Can I change the background or page color to gray and other different shades of it?
