Should I trade my Gamecube Color for Icy Blue for future hinge?

Should I trade my Gamecube Color for Icy Blue for future hinge?

Hey everyone ! I have the gamecube Color flip 2 with the revised hinge as seen below, but i worry that in the long term it can still crack? I like protecting my devices and being careful so I reached out to retroid and they offered to trade me the model.

What would you guys do in this position?

What are you all playing ?

Currently playing Detective Pikachu on the 3DS. Any recommendations that run well one 1 screen? Also, any other games ? Let me know !

How this device made gaming fun again (for me)

Small rant, but I got into the Retro handheld hobby about a couple of months ago. Moral of the story i find myself purchasing more rather then just playing. The AYN Thor, Steam deck ETC. I found i had more fun tinkering with the devices then actually playing them.

Enter this guy. It was my first expensive device I bought (first batch) I decided one day to take it with me to work and play some light switch games. And wow. This brought so much joy. I found myself playing this instead of my more expensive and powerful devices. Needless to say that I decided I was going to cut down and stick to this one. It does everything I want a handheld to do and more.

My wave 1 flip is still going strong since release and hopefully I won't get a Crack since the warranty already expired. Anyway, rant over. Happy gaming !

As the title says, I got my AYN thor about a month ago and I thought it would be my "end game device", but I still find myself playing my flip 2 more. I do not know why that is considering the AYN thor is more powerful.

I guess after I got the Thor, I probably am not afraid of taking my Flip 2 with me outside and use it as an "every day carry" and it made me appreciate it more. I love this thing. So pocket-able, and the screen is just BEAUTIFUL. Currently finished Persona 4 Golden on Game native on my Flip 2 and it was beautiful.
