Light game recommendation for battery saving and no overheating

So i want to play emulator game (gamenative or eden emulator) that didn't really heavy peformance but still fun to play

When I play some switch game on eden its always drawing 1A power every second and heats up battery so fast.

But i found that when i play star ocean second story R, its only drawing 0.5A and make the battery stays at 35°C

Any more game that perform like this you recommend?

I tried dragon quest but it was super heavy i couldn't play it without adreno force clock

Far Cry 2 keeps crashing during loading screen on Winlator Mali Bionic. Can you help me?

I'm trying to emulate the PC version of Far Cry 2. For context I'm very new to PC emulation.

The container shuts down during the loading screen after selecting story mode but the emulator itself doesn't force close.

I'm using Winlator Mali 1.0 Bionic latest version.

My device has a Helio g100 and a Mali g57 mc2 gpu with 8GB RAM. I know it's not good for PC emulation but I'm willing to try.

My settings are in the pictures

The words circled in Red are the variables and values I created. I was trying to use Ai to help me and it told me to make these variables but i need proper help from real people

Opinion on possible future project i could be developing

Hi everyone,

I’ve been working on an idea for a new game streaming app and I’m aiming to have an initial release ready in about one or two month. Before I dive too deep, I wanted to gauge the community's interest and see if something exactly like this already exists.

The Concept: I want to create a PC-to-phone game streaming app that actually feels like a native mobile experience, similar to Gamehub, rather than just mirroring a desktop UI.

How it works:

  • Native Local UI: Instead of streaming a desktop launcher (like Playnite Fullscreen) to your phone, the server pulls your game library from all your storefronts and sends only the metadata (names, images, etc.) to your device. The library is rendered locally on your phone, making scrolling and browsing buttery smooth especially with touch/controllers.
  • Virtual Monitor Matching: When you hit "Play," the PC server spins up a virtual monitor tailored perfectly to your phone’s exact resolution and framerate, and launches the game there.
  • Auto-Configuration: I’m looking into auto-discovery or mounting config files so the game automatically adjusts its internal screen size/aspect ratio for streaming.
  • Remote Downloads: Ability to remotely trigger game downloads to your PC directly from the mobile app.
  • Support for games acquired differently: Obviusly other than stores games i will have the ability to add .exe directly or autodiscovery in a subfolder for more advanced user

Under the Hood: To get this off the ground quickly, I’m not reinventing the wheel. I plan to leverage the core streaming tech from Sunshine/Moonlight and handle the data pulling via Playnite code. The project will be open-source (MIT License), so there won't be any copyright headaches.

Future Roadmap: Eventually, I want to make it possible to run the server headless via Docker or inside a VM for completely seamless self-hosted setups.

My questions for you:

  1. What is the general sentiment for an app like this? Would it solve problems for your setup?
  2. Are there any existing projects doing this exact thing that I missed?
  3. Any ideas for a catchy name?

Attention s25u and s26u users.

(THIS IS IF YOU ROCK CASES ON YOUR PHONE)

Sup guys just wanted to let you know about a case that helps with cooling and comes with a thermal pad. I have actually tested it myself. The case is called slim aramid fiber made by aulumu. I spent 3 days testing this case with and with out and with a regular case. The game i was testing with it was cronos the new dawn and i would do 1hr playtime. To keep it it short with this case vs with out a case at all. You stay 1° lower during a duration of gaming. But with a regular case vs this case you stay 3° to 4° lower. And im pretty sure your rocking a case right now. If your really into pc emulation definitely check this case out. If you have any questions let me know. much love🤙

Darksiders III (Steam) played with GameHub 6.0.9 +Framegen on: RedMagic 11 Pro!

⚠️ Caped at 30fps +Framegen to get 60 FPS (+Super Resolution). Without framegen, the game runs between 30 and 60 fps, but it's annoying because the frame rate isn't consistent!

⚠️ A few minor graphics bugs caused by FrameGen affecting the character's hair and the subtitles.

⚠️ As usual, there's less stuttering and a few more FPS when I'm not recording at the same time.

📱 RedMagic 11 Pro in Balanced Mode
📺 YouTube Video available.
🖼️ Screenshots available.
🖥️ Full configuration available on EmuReady.

⚠️ GameHub 6.0.9 used & preset: Performance +TSO +FrameGen +Super Resolution.

♨️ Steam Version!
🎮 Played with: GameSir X5 Lite (And that's why you don't see any "Virtual Controller")

Why is Zelda BOTW locked at 20 FPS on my S25+?

I've already tried 7 different Eden versions, several GPU drivers, and a lot of different settings, but nothing works. If I increase the speed limit, the game easily goes above 30 FPS, but it runs faster than normal, as shown in the video. The game seems to be using 20 FPS as its default speed. Why is this happening?

You can clearly see that it's not a lack of processing power from the phone. My device is a 25+ snap 8 elite

Full-size and easily removeable grip with no clips

Made this as a proof of concept from an idea I had. This was more work than I anticipated when starting but I'm very happy with the results. It uses the fold out grips as support and a pull out middle section with dovetail for assembly. It feels as good as my Xbox elite controller and is styled after the new steam controller. Is anyone interested in this?

How do y'all think devs come up with names for their emulators?

I'm genuinely curious. What's the motivation behind a name for an emulator?

Well first let's get the obvious ones out of the way. Winlator is obviously just a combination of "Windows" and "Emulator". Hence they combine to form "Winlator". But I can't say the same for the forks. Winlator Bionic, Winlator Lundashi etc.

PPSSPP is just PSP with extra letters.

But what about Nethersx2/AetherSx2? How does an individual fathom the concept of a "Nether" or an "Aether"?

Or let's say Azahar, the latest 3DS emulator. What did the devs mean by this? Am I stupid?

Do some of these names have cultural meaning or are they just random as hell?

I am not making fun of the names or the devs. I'm just curious.

Converted a 1980s bank phone keyboard to usb. Replacing the screen with a surface duo v1 for a Cassette Futurism emulation station. I’ve actually made it work… but now I can’t get the emulator to listen to most of it.

Like the title says, I’ve successfully made a Celint C6, an Italian office landline from the 80’s, into a usb device. Desoldered the original membrane tail connectors from the original board to new wires, wrote the firmware for it, mapped the keys for functional use with any device. It works great on Android, but I’m worried I did this wrong, and I need help with key recognition from usb keyboards in my Android emulator for Nintendo games (for now just DS, but eventually I want to see how much this can handle.)

I’m using MelonDS right now because it has the clearest mapping settings I’ve found to choose which keys should be the buttons (dpad, abxy, LR, start, select), but when I go into any DS game the arrows work for menu navigation but not the rest. The mappings are clear, and Android itself recognizes the keystrokes without issue. My questions are mainly what am I doing wrong, and has anyone else run into this? I’m sure I could figure out how to add to the .py mapping file to account for this but I’m not the best with any of this so I thought I’d start here, since this may be known.

Thanks for any help! I’m still in prototyping phase so there’s a lot of cardboard and tape, but I’m pretty proud of it so far!
