if the panvk drivers are vibe coded this means what actually, what's the bad part about it?

is sad that if wasn't by AI we wouldn't have drivers on mali gpus, which have a meaning from how kbase had potential for panfrost but the official devs never wanted to bring it for phones (android devices). i have a mali g72 and thanks to mali g52 panvk's dev, now i can see 141 vulkan extensions while the old system driver have 56 vk exts

also, i'm waiting for the performance fix in the driver to test plants vs zombies warfare, the game's fps is about 0.5 fps on system driver or panvk for now while in a adreno 610 runs at 30 fps

When Eden will implement this BCn_Layer? It would help a lot Mali GPUs like it did with Winlator

i don't know right if the devs have interest on this, or if this post could reach them. they're always right, they're the devs after all. what i mean is, if this is a linux (android) library that makes mali/xclipse gpus emulate BCn which is inexistent hardware feature, improve performance + fix high ram usage one day become obligatory on emulators like eden and shadps4 real

it would allow the use of BCn options on eden exclusive for adreno

the developer that compiled panvk (mesa26.2) is trying to build the app with panvk as new graphical renderer as option

i already tested the driver and is completely real, meaning snapdragon will have finally a rival while exclipse or powervr nothing yet

mali gpu have open source drivers and diary community updates (panfrost/panvk) like adreno but why they thought kbase was a good idea?

or a better question, why devs are trying to do a vulkan wrapper with so much hard work, complex vulkan code and emulation from a inexistent hardware feature? bcn emulation? bcn > astc/etc2?

when i literally tested a real panfrost driver, even if it don't renders yet for bifrost

"is a opengl driver, it's worst slower than vulkan"

theres no mesa gitlab screenshot or link from some mesa's dev just mentioning bifrost as base for future code improvement here
