Well, the title says part of my question—basically, do you use tofu whey?

Could I use it like buttermilk? Maybe use it in smoothies? Vegan ricotta?

Some tips

I’m working on a "food web" aquarium project; the tank is currently cycling (I decided on a six-week cycle). The flora will consist of *Egeria densa*, *Cabomba carolinensis*, *Ludwigia*, *Anubias nana* var. *barteri*, Java moss, and *Microsorum*, while the fauna will include *Moina*, *Daphnia*, ramshorn snails, bladder snails, nerite snails, *Neocaridina* shrimp, *Melanoides tuberculata*, and *Rasbora nana*. The hardscape features nutrient-rich substrate, sand, fine gravel, three stones, and a treated piece of driftwood. Equipment includes a 250 L/h hang-on-back filter, a heater/thermostat, and grow lighting (programmed for 8:00 AM–12:00 PM and 2:00 PM–4:00 PM)—all in a 55-liter tank (which works out to 50 liters of actual water volume). Local hobbyists tell me the project is viable, but I’d like more opinions; for reference, I’m in the state of São Paulo, southeastern Brazil, so it’s hot here most of the year and cold for only short periods.

Cuscuz nordestino, sauteed wild greens and a fried egg

Brazilian corn couscous (Northeastern style couscous), with sautéed bitter vegetables (sow thistle, chicory, chives, and garlic) and a fried egg with oregano. Extremely cheap because I grow chives on my windowsill and harvest the vegetables wild; the runny yolk becomes the sauce that adds more flavor to the corn couscous (steamed and salted coarse-flaked cornmeal). It would cost less than US$0.68 by my calculations.
