Tattoo from piercing
I had a double helix done in March 2025, took it out in early April 2026 due to it just being so sore and inflamed constantly.
I have currently 1 other piercing in that ear, 5 in the other ear. 3 closed up.
Initially for the first few weeks the piercing was fine. Then it became angry and swelled. Around May 2025 the swelling wasn’t as frequent but two (one for each piercing) bumps showed up. They never went away until I took out the piercing.
Once I did take out the piercings the bumps went away in about 3-4 days. But as a whole the ear immediately felt better. It wasn’t feeling hot or sensitive.
I was however left with two blue-ish dots where the piercings were. I don’t mind as I have 15 tattoos, but I am very interested in how or why the piercings left dots!
Ps. I do have a lot of allergies and this was my first thought, perhaps I reacted to the metal used?

Jewellery shape: sleeper ring - yes I know. It was done at a reputable shop and I trusted her even after questioning using a sleeper. Not sure on the material

Aftercare routine: saline spray until it started to irritate more then help
