Robotaxi 1 star reviews are right
Seriously we had to walk 13 minutes to the pick up location. When we got there the Robotaxi was 8 minutes away. As we watched the Robotaxi come closer and closer and the time tick down to 3 minutes… it’s just passed its turn and kept going straight…. Kept passing more turns it could have taken and the time went up to 28 minutes.
Automated Customer service said to just cancel and get another robotaxi that wasn’t bugging out but when we tried doing that prices jumped up.
We decided to contact human customer service. I was on hold for customer service for 15 minutes.
Customer service (human being) just said that happens sometimes and that the automation just wasn’t there yet. they werent able to honor the original price so we waited like 35 minutes total and ended up just going with Lyft that picked us up in 3 minutes. Which sucked because in those 30minutes the price still jumped up but we would rather know we were getting picked up successfully than to give Robotaxi another shot.
Mind you we saw many others getting picked up at the Robotaxi pick up at Lee Barton dr next to acl/zilker park in Austin.
