Tips on maintaining mental diet

I’m in a verbally abusive and manipulative situation at home. I tried leaving but found myself sucked back because I am still susceptible to the love-bombing part of the manipulation. I feel like I need to embody a stronger state before I leave next time.
But I have a hard time even imagining what it would feel like to be stronger. I feel like I am chronically stressed which in turn must be manifesting more stressful events. It’s a vicious cycle.
Will revision in real time of the verbal abuse help me get stronger? Or does that just make it seem like I am accepting it?
