Honda New Zealand confirms pricing for Super-One EV

Words: Andrew Sluys

Published 1 July 2026

Honda New Zealand has confirmed pricing for its upcoming Super-One EV, which is set to land within the year.

The Super-One will be offered locally in two grades, with the entry-level model starting at $41,990, and the Kuro Edition at $44,990.

The Super-One features a 29.6kWh battery, which provides a driving range of 253km according to the NEDC testing cycle.

It is powered by an electric motor mounted on the front axle, which produces a modest 70kW/162Nm.

It gets MacPhersion strut front suspension, with a torsion beam on the rear. Brakes are a similar story, with ventilated discs up front, and drums at the back.

At 15-inches, it might sit on some of the smallest wheels offered in New Zealand, wrapped in a 185-section tyre.

With a 2.5-metre wheelbase, and a total length of just 3.5-metres, it’s a compact EV, and the 1,093kg kerb weight reflects this.

On the inside, it gets a 9-inch infotainment display with built-in Google, and a 7-inch digital cluster.

It gets an interesting pair of seats at the front, which also feature a heating function.

Opting for the range-topping Kuro Edition with its $3,000 premium over the standard model gets you a two-tone black scheme.

Unlike the regular model, which is offered with Mono Grey, Crystal Black Pearl, and Boost Violet Pearl paint options, the Kuro only gets the latter. But with its contrasting black roof, it’s more of a statement piece.

Honda New Zealand has previously mentioned that this Super-One EV will be landing in the second half of 2026.

BYD New Zealand secures additional vehicle shipments to fulfill orders

Words: Andrew Sluys
Published 29 June 2026

BYD New Zealand has announced it has secured three additional vehicle shipments to fulfill current customer orders.

These shipments, which will arrive throughout the month of July, will bring a total of 1,250 new vehicles into the country.

They will arrive on July 1 July, 16 July, and 20 July, reportedly filling all current customer orders by the end of August.

On top of this, “further significant shipping capacity” has also been secured for August, according to Warren Willmot, BYD New Zealand’s General Manager.

News of these additional shipments comes off the back of BYD New Zealand advising customers of potential prolonged wait times.

The announcement, which was put out to the public in June, cited increased EV demand and rising fuel costs as reasons why new customers may face delays.

We saw this increased EV demand in the May new vehicles sales figures, with BYD registering a 871 per cent increase for the month year-on-year.

The Atto 3 also returned to prominence for the month, recording 142 sales and re-entering the top 15 passenger vehicle rankings.

Volvo EX60 priced for New Zealand

Words: Kyle Cassidy

Published 18 June 2026

Volvo has confirmed pricing and specifications for its new EX60 electric SUV ahead of its New Zealand arrival in November 2026, with the newcomer set to take on rivals such as the BMW iX3 Neue Klasse in the premium EV market.

The EX60 will launch here in two variants, starting from $116,990 plus on-road costs for the rear-wheel-drive Ultra P6 and $125,990 for the all-wheel-drive Ultra P10.

Built on Volvo’s new SPA3 electric vehicle platform, the EX60 becomes the Swedish brand’s longest-range production EV at launch, with the flagship Ultra P10 claiming up to 660km of WLTP driving range. The rear-drive Ultra P6 manages 611km.

Performance is respectable too. The EX60 Ultra P6 develops 275kW and 480Nm, enough for a 0-100km/h sprint of 5.9 seconds. The more powerful Ultra P10 increases outputs to 375kW and 710Nm, cutting the benchmark sprint to 4.6 seconds.

Volvo says charging performance has been a major focus. Thanks to an 800-volt electrical architecture, the EX60 can charge from 10 to 80 per cent in as little as 16 minutes when connected to a 350kW DC fast charger. The company claims up to 315km of range can be added in just 10 minutes.

The new model also introduces Volvo’s latest generation of safety and connectivity technology. Features include Google built-in services, over-the-air software updates and Google Gemini-powered conversational AI functionality.

At launch, New Zealand buyers will only be offered the flagship Ultra specification, which includes a 28-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system with Dolby Atmos, electrochromic panoramic roof, ventilated front seats and a 360-degree camera system.

Read more – Volvo EX90 first NZ drive review

The rear-wheel-drive model can tow up to 2000kg, while the all-wheel-drive P10 increases towing capacity to 2400kg.

BMW iX3 rival

The EX60 enters the market just as BMW prepares to launch its next-generation iX3 based on the Neue Klasse platform.

On paper, the Volvo holds a slight range advantage. The EX60 Ultra P10’s 660km WLTP figure exceeds the 650km WLTP range claimed for the new BMW iX3 50 xDrive, while the forthcoming EX60 P12 Performance, due in 2027, is expected to push range out to an impressive 810km.

BMW counters with faster charging capability. The Neue Klasse iX3 can reportedly add up to 350km of range in 10 minutes and supports charging rates of up to 400kW, compared with Volvo’s 315km gain in 10 minutes and 350kW peak charging speed.

BMW is yet to price the iX3 for New Zealand, though it’s likely to land around the $130,000 mark.

Volvo Cars New Zealand Brand Manager Daile Stephens said the EX60 addresses the key concerns many motorists still have about electric vehicles.

“The EX60 delivers on the true meaning of ‘Freedom to move’ for a fully electric era. It overcomes the three main reasons people hesitate to go all electric, range, charging speed and price.

“With up to 660 kilometres on a single charge and the ability to add 315 kilometres in just 10 minutes on a fast charger, the EX60 removes the last real hesitation for Kiwi drivers considering the switch to full electric.”

Pre-orders for the EX60 are open now, with the first customer deliveries scheduled for November 2026. Volvo has also confirmed a higher-performance EX60 P12 variant with a claimed 810km driving range will join the line-up during the second half of 2027.

Lepas confirmed to join New Zealand market with all-electric L6 SUV

Words: Andrew Sluys

Published 16 June 2026

Lepas has been confirmed as the next Chinese brand to enter the New Zealand market with the electric L6 SUV.

As part of the Chery automotive group, Lepas will join Omoda Jaecoo and Chery on sale in New Zealand.

The L6 is a smart-looking mid-size SUV that uses a 65kWh battery, and gets a range rating of 450km.

Power comes from a single electric motor producing 160kW and 275Nm of torque.

On the inside it gets a small digital cluster, and a 12.3-inch infotainment display.

News of Lepas launching in New Zealand comes off the back of a release announcing plans for the brand’s Australian expansion.

“The Lepas L6 represents an exciting new chapter for our business and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to bringing innovative, technology-driven vehicles to Australian customers,” said Lucas Harris, Chief Operating Officer, Lepas Australia.

“As demand for electric vehicles continues to grow locally, the Lepas L6 will offer Australian buyers a compelling combination of sophisticated design, intelligent features and everyday usability within the highly competitive mid-size SUV segment.”

NZ Autocar then reached out to a Lepas spokesperson, who confirmed the following:

“I can confirm the Lepas L6 is coming to NZ with timings currently TBC.”

Given Australia is set to get the L6 in the fourth quarter of 2026, we can estimate we’ll see it in the early months of 2027.

BYD NZ boss warns of delivery delays as EV demand surges

TLDR: Shipping constraints are pushing out BYD delivery times by up to 3-4 weeks. 2000 vehicles are waiting in China to come to NZ. Australian distributors are booking out vessels bound for NZ, shipping cars from China to Australia via Auckland.

Article text:

Words: Autocar

Published 15 June 2026

BYD Auto New Zealand general manager Warren Willmot has moved to reassure waiting customers, acknowledging that shipping constraints are pushing out delivery times by up to three to four weeks.

In a video update addressed directly to those who have ordered a vehicle, Willmot says more than 2000 BYD cars are built and ready in China, waiting for passage to New Zealand.

“I have over 2000 vehicles sitting in China. They’re built, they’re ready, they’re waiting to make their way to your driveways,” he says.

Willmot says the enthusiasm for the brand in New Zealand has been extraordinary, but that the same surge in demand is part of the problem. He says the delays stem from a shortage of ships calling at New Zealand at a time when demand is climbing sharply across both New Zealand and Australia.

He says part of the squeeze comes from Australian distributors booking out vessels bound for New Zealand, using Auckland as a transhipment point before the cars continue across the Tasman.

“What’s happening is that the Australian car companies are filling up the boats destined for New Zealand just so they can ship their cars from China to Auckland and then over to Australia,” he says.

The result, Willmot says, is delays of up to three to four weeks beyond the delivery times customers were initially given.

He says the company is not standing still on the issue, with the team working to secure additional shipping capacity and exploring alternative options to get vehicles to New Zealand sooner.

“We’re not going to leave any stone unturned,” he says.

Willmot says customers will receive their vehicles, and points them to their local dealer as the best source of up-to-date information.

“They will let you know the very moment that your vehicle is loaded onto a ship,” he says.

JAC prices T9 PHEV ute from $59,990

JAC New Zealand is unveiling its T9 plug-in hybrid ute at Fieldays, announcing a launch price of $59,990 plus on-road costs and positioning the newcomer as the most affordable entrant in the growing PHEV ute segment.

The T9 PHEV combines electrified performance with traditional ute capability, delivering 360kW of power, a claimed combined driving range of up to 1,005km and up to 100km of pure electric driving range under NEDC testing.

JAC says the vehicle is New Zealand’s most powerful hybrid ute and the safest, backed by a 5-star ANCAP safety rating.

The ute retains key workhorse credentials, including a 3,500kg braked towing capacity and a 915kg payload, while offering a range of off-road features including front, rear and centre differential locks, dedicated off-road and crawl modes, and quick-access terrain controls.

The launch comes a year after JAC displayed an orange T9 PHEV prototype at Fieldays and invited feedback from New Zealand customers.

JAC New Zealand general manager Andrew Craw says the company listened closely to what Kiwi ute buyers wanted.

“When we rocked up to Fieldays last year with that orange prototype, people were pretty clear about what they wanted – a PHEV that works like a proper ute and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg,” Craw says.

“The T9 PHEV ticks every box. Most powerful. Safest. Tows 3.5T. And for a limited time at $59,990 you’d be forgiven for thinking we’ve made a pricing mistake.”

Unlike some electrified utes that prioritise efficiency over utility, JAC says the T9 PHEV was engineered as a ute first and foremost.

The drivetrain combines dual electric motors with a 2.0-litre petrol engine and four-speed transmission designed to provide consistent performance whether towing, carrying heavy loads or travelling off-road.

The T9 PHEV also features a 360-degree camera system, a full suite of advanced driver assistance technologies, premium interior trim and advanced infotainment systems.

JAC says the vehicle builds on more than 60 years of truck and commercial vehicle manufacturing experience and its growing expertise in electrified transport.

Pre-orders are now open, with the first customer deliveries expected between late July and early August.

The T9 PHEV is on display at Fieldays, where visitors can view the vehicle and take part in test drives on the JAC test track.

Leapmotor B05 hatch priced from $43,990

Leapmotor distributor Armstrong’s has revealed pricing for the new B05 electric hatchback, with the compact five-door starting from $43,990 plus on-road costs.

The announcement comes as the B05 makes its New Zealand public debut at Fieldays, where the hatch is on display at the Leapmotor stand throughout the event.

Two models will be offered locally. The entry-level Life opens the range at $43,990 with a 56.2kWh battery, while the Design specification shown at Fieldays is priced at $47,990 with a larger 67.1kWh pack.

Orders are being taken now ahead of a local launch in August or September.

Positioned below B10 sibling

Pricing positions the B05 just below its B10 SUV sibling, which is priced at $44,990 for the Life and $49,990 for the Design – a $1000 and $2000 saving respectively for the hatch.

The B05’s key rival is likely to be the recently launched MG4 Urban which, at $38,990, undercuts the entry B05 by $5000 but trails it significantly on battery capacity, power and interior space.

The Design specification mirrors that offered on the B10. It pairs a 67.1kWh battery with a rear-mounted motor producing 160kW and 240Nm, driving through a single-speed transmission.

Leapmotor positions the B05 as a performance-focused hot hatch, citing 50:50 weight distribution, the rear-mounted motor and multi-link rear suspension as the basis for engaging handling and responsive steering.

The distributor quotes a WLTP range of up to 480km for the Design, while DC fast charging at up to 168kW allows a 30 to 80% top-up in 20 minutes. An 11kW on-board charger handles AC charging.

Generous equipment levels

Standard equipment is generous for the price point. The Design rides on 19-inch alloys and features a fixed panoramic glass roof with electric sunshade, synthetic leather upholstery, and heated and ventilated front seats with power adjustment for both driver and passenger.

Inside, a 14.6-inch central display with satellite navigation, over-the-air updates and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto sits alongside an 8.8-inch driver instrument display, with a 12-speaker surround audio system.

Keyless entry is via NFC key or the Leapmotor app, while wireless phone charging and a 360-degree camera with rear parking sensors round out the convenience kit.

Driver assistance includes adaptive cruise control with intelligent speed assist, lane keep assist and blind spot monitoring, plus LED auto headlights with high beam assist.

The B05 is backed by a six-year, 150,000km vehicle warranty with six years of roadside assistance, while the battery carries an eight-year, 160,000km warranty.

The hatch arrives alongside another addition to the Leapmotor line-up, with the B10 REEV joining the range from $39,990 for the Life. The range-extender extends the dual battery electric vehicle (BEV) and REEV strategy first seen with the C10.

Built on the same Leap 3.5 platform as the B10 SUV, the B05 is distributed locally by Auto Distribution Holdings and will be available through Leapmotor’s expanded network of nine dealerships, including Hamilton, Tauranga, Taupo, Wellington and Christchurch alongside four Auckland outlets.

Lexus reveals ES pricing with first electric model

Lexus New Zealand has confirmed pricing for the eighth-generation ES sedan range, with the luxury brand introducing its first battery electric vehicle (BEV) model and connected services technology to the local market.

The new ES range will start from $96,900 plus on-road costs when it arrives in New Zealand later this year, spanning three models across HEV and battery electric powertrains.

Andrew Davis, Vice President of Lexus New Zealand, says the new ES marks a major step forward for Lexus locally, bringing together a more progressive design, electrified powertrains and Lexus Connected Services technology for the first time in New Zealand.

“The ES has long resonated with New Zealand drivers for its refinement, comfort and exceptionally quiet driving experience,” says Davis.

“What’s particularly compelling about this new generation is the way it evolves those strengths through a more contemporary design, increased spaciousness and a significantly more connected in-cabin experience.”

First electric ES model debuts

For the first time in New Zealand, the ES range will be available with both HEV and battery electric powertrains, reflecting Lexus’ multi-pathway approach to electrification.

The ES 500e Dynamic introduces a new BEV driving experience with Lexus’ Interactive Manual Drive, featuring an eight-speed virtual gear set-up. In Manual Mode, drivers can use the paddle shifters to select their desired gear, while the low-mounted battery lowers the centre of gravity to enhance dynamic capability and create a more engaging and sporty drive.

The electric model is priced at $109,900 plus on-road costs, sitting above the two HEV variants in the range.

Connected services launch

The all-new ES will also become the first Lexus launched in New Zealand with Lexus Connected Services capability.

Rather than focusing on technology for the sake of it, Davis says the system has been designed to make owning the vehicle feel easier and more reassuring.

“You can remotely check your vehicle information through the Lexus Connected app, lock or unlock the car from your phone, remotely turn on air conditioning, or contact emergency support at the touch of a button,” he says.

“It’s technology that’s there when you need it, but it doesn’t overwhelm the driving experience.”

Connected features include remote lock and unlock capability, vehicle status updates, cloud-based navigation and vehicle tracking functionality, helping customers stay more connected to their vehicle wherever they are.

Design and interior updates

Inspired by the LF-ZC concept first revealed in 2023, the new ES introduces a sleeker design, increased height and a more spacious cabin.

“It has a much stronger presence on the road than previous generations, but it still feels unmistakably Lexus,” says Davis.

“The cabin remains calm and refined, but there’s a simplicity and openness to the design that gives the car a far more modern feel.”

The interior adopts a minimal, open and highly refined layout with a strong focus on rear-seat space that provides optimum comfort for the passenger experience.

Launched globally alongside the flagship LS in 1989, the ES has long been recognised for its quietness, ride comfort and spacious interior. In New Zealand, the model has built a loyal following among customers seeking a more traditional luxury sedan experience.

The complete ES range pricing includes the ES 300h Premium HEV at $96,900, ES 300h Limited HEV at $104,900, and ES 500e Dynamic battery electric at $109,900, all plus

Smart expands NZ line-up with #5 electric SUV

Words: Kyle Cassidy

Published 8 June 2026

Smart has launched its largest model yet in New Zealand, with the #5 arriving in dealerships nationwide.

Described as a ‘medium-to-large’ SUV, it joins the existing smart #1 and #3 models.

It’s positioned at the ‘upper end’ of the electric SUV market, and the #5 will be offered in three variants: the entry-level Pro+, the ‘family-focused’ Premium, and the range-topping BRABUS performance model.

All variants are built around a 100kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack and feature the usual driver assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control, parking assistance technology, over-the-air software updates and smartphone integration through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The entry-level Pro+ is priced from $79,990 plus on-road costs and offers a claimed WLTP driving range of up to 540km. Standard equipment includes a panoramic glass roof, wireless phone charging, remote parking capability, a 13-inch OLED infotainment display and Vehicle-to-Load functionality. All models have a five star Euro NCAP rating.

Sitting in the middle of the range, the Premium variant is designed to appeal to families and long-distance travellers. Priced from $89,990 plus on-road costs, it somehow extends the WLTP range to a claimed 590km from the same battery capacity while using the same 267kW rear mounted motor. It adds a more luxurious cabin featuring dual 13-inch OLED displays, a head-up display and a 20-speaker Sennheiser audio system with Dolby Atmos technology.

Read more – 2025 Smart #1 Premium & #3 Premium Review

Smart says the #5 has ‘generous cabin space’ and a towing capacity of up to 1600kg. The Premium also includes a 360-degree camera system, 12 parking sensors and Smart Pilot Assist driver assistance technology. The warranty period is five year / 150,00km for all variants.

BRABUS brings supercar-rivalling performance

For buyers wanting maximum performance, the flagship BRABUS model delivers the firepower.

Priced from $99,990 plus on-road costs, the dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain produces up to 475kW and launches from 0-100km/h in a claimed 3.8 seconds.

While performance is the headline attraction, the BRABUS retains the same technology suite and practicality as the rest of the range, adding unique styling elements and a more aggressive character.

Fast charging

The #5 uses an 800-volt electrical architecture, enabling fast DC charging of up to 400kW (AC 22kW). Under ideal conditions, smart says the battery can be replenished from 10 to 80 percent in as little as 18 minutes.

With pricing spanning from just under $80,000 to $100,000, the smart #5 enters a fiercely contested segment that includes the likes of the BYD Sealion 7 Performance, Model Y L and Performance variants, Zeekr 7X Performance, Cadillac Lyriq and Polestar4.

Subaru Trailseeker headed for New Zealand

Words: Kyle Cassidy

Published 2 June 2026

Subaru is expanding its electric ambitions in New Zealand with confirmation that the Trailseeker will arrive in local showrooms in September 2026.

The newcomer represents an entirely new model line for the Japanese brand. But it’s one that maintains the all-wheel drive capability and adventure-focused character the company is known for.

Positioned as a larger and more rugged alternative to the Solterra, the Trailseeker Touring will become Subaru New Zealand’s flagship electric SUV when it launches later this year.

It has a dual-motor all-wheel drive system producing a combined 280kW, enough to propel the SUV from 0-100km/h in a claimed 4.4 seconds.

Despite its STI embarrassing performance, Subaru says the Trailseeker has been engineered more for off-road capability with 211mm of ground clearance (which is 10mm less than the Outback).

The Trailseeker rides on the e-Subaru Global Platform, designed specifically for higher-performance electric vehicles with improved range, greater structural rigidity and enhanced all-wheel drive capability.

Power comes from a 74.7kWh battery supplied by CATL, with Subaru claiming a driving range of up to 488 kilometres. Fast-charging capability of up to 150kW allows the battery to recharge from 10 to 80 percent in around 30 minutes under ideal conditions.

Read more – 2026 Subaru Outback driven

The Trailseeker also supports 22kW three-phase AC charging and includes a 1500W Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function. Its braked towing capacity is listed at 1500kg.

Subaru says significant attention has been paid to maintaining the driving characteristics customers expect from the brand, with engineers specifically tuning the dual-motor all-wheel drive system to deliver predictable handling and secure traction across a variety of surfaces and conditions.

The Trailseeker’s arrival follows a period of transition for Subaru’s electrification strategy, with the company now grouping its battery-electric models under a new Sport Electric Vehicle (SEV) category globally.

General Manager of Inchcape New Zealand Jerry Delaney, distributor of Subaru in New Zealand says: says Trailseeker represents an exciting addition to the Subaru range.

“We welcome the arrival of Trailseeker to New Zealand, as it is a personality-packed EV. It’s the ideal Subaru for Kiwi drivers seeking adventure and for those who want to enjoy an engaging performance drive, all while remaining grounded in the confidence, safety and All-Wheel Drive capability that underpins Subaru’s DNA.

“After we sold out of Solterra in New Zealand, we have been eagerly awaiting a new EV Subaru model here and the Trailseeker is a fantastic option. It delivers electric performance without compromising on confidence, control or real-world capability – the qualities our customers expect from a Subaru. The bonus is that the Trailseeker is a seriously quick EV and as the fastest Subaru production vehicle ever, New Zealanders are going to love its performance in all conditions. Trailseeker retains Subaru’s roots, while opening our next chapter in EVolution through electric power, and offering an even greater choice for our customers.”

While Subaru’s global EV portfolio now includes the updated Solterra, the all-new Trailseeker and the recently revealed Uncharted, New Zealand buyers will initially only have access to the Trailseeker.

“While the all-new Trailseeker joins the updated Solterra, and the all-new Uncharted in Subaru’s global electric range – now united under Subaru’s Sport Electric Vehicle (SEV) category — we will be focusing solely on Trailseeker Touring in New Zealand at this stage. Inchcape New Zealand will be constantly assessing other Subaru EV models and we will keep our customers updated on any changes to our line-up,” Delaney says.

Read more – Will Subaru’s new all-electric Uncharted SUV land in New Zealand?

While Subaru New Zealand has confirmed key performance and charging specifications, detailed local equipment levels and pricing will be announced closer to the Trailseeker’s September launch. We’d expect it won’t be too far off the Toyota bZ4X Touring mark, which is priced at $71,990.

Carbn Group acquires Mevo to relaunch Wellington car-sharing

Carbn Group has acquired the brand and assets of collapsed car-sharing operator Mevo, with plans to relaunch free-floating car-sharing services in Wellington.

Carbn Group Holdings chief executive Shaun Drylie announced the acquisition on LinkedIn, saying the company recognised the importance of preserving and enhancing Mevo’s service when it entered liquidation.

“Mevo provided a vital service for Wellington and in other centres, and when it entered liquidation, we recognized the importance of preserving and enhancing that service,” Drylie says.

“Carbn has the vehicles, infrastructure, and operational capacity to swiftly reinstate carsharing in Wellington, and we are dedicated to making it a permanent solution for the city’s transportation needs.”

Mevo collapsed weeks after crowdfunding success

Mevo entered voluntary administration on March 30, just weeks after raising $3.28 million from investors through equity crowdfunding platform Snowball Effect. The raise had exceeded the company’s $2.2 million target and included a US$1 million commitment from an unnamed strategic institutional investor.

BDO’s Iain Shephard and Jessica Kellow were appointed as administrators for both Mevo Limited and Mevo Assets. Reports suggested the administration was triggered after expected funding commitments failed to materialise on schedule.

The Wellington-founded company had been operating across four cities at its peak, with a mixed fleet including Teslas, Polestars, and Suzuki Swifts.

Swift relaunch planned with broader EV focus

Drylie says the Wellington relaunch will initially feature a fleet of Suzuki Swifts under the Mevo brand, with plans for national expansion and a broader range of electric vehicle types as the business develops.

The acquisition aligns with Zilch’s existing network of 20 shared-vehicle electric hubs across New Zealand’s major centres, he says.

Drylie emphasises the broader benefits of shared mobility beyond convenience, noting they provide access to individuals without driveways, garages, or the financial means to purchase a vehicle outright.

“One shared electric vehicle travels 8-15 times more kilometers than a standard electric vehicle,” he says.

“Furthermore, they address a key challenge in the EV industry: providing people the opportunity to experience driving an electric vehicle.”

Drylie says the primary barrier to electric vehicle (EV) adoption is experiential rather than logical, with many people yet to drive one.

“Shared mobility addresses this, one trip at a time,” he says.

The company has indicated it will provide updates on the Wellington relaunch timeline and future expansion plans.

Geely EX2 on its way to NZ - I think this is big news

According to the Geely NZ website, the EX2 is "Coming Soon". This is big news, especially if it is priced as well as I suspect it will be.

- RWD

- Liquid-cooled battery (unlike BYD Atto 1)

- Multi-link rear suspension

- A 5-star ANCAP safety rating is "expected" by Geely

- Expected to have around 320 km of WLTP range (according to The Driven)

-It has a frunk!

The Geely EX2 will rival EVs like the MG4 Urban, and the upcoming GAC Aion UT.
