This is my first Budgie. I’ve had Mr.Roger for a little over a month now. He’s very calm around me lets me kiss him on his head and does not panic or act scared around me at all. That is until I try and offer millet or a my hand gets anywhere near him what so ever he backs away or flys away. I know it takes time to build that trust but is there anything I can do differently? I work with him every day, talk to him, don’t chase him around, and I give him his space. Any help would be appreciated.

Also I cannot get him to eat pellets at all, I’ve crushed them up, tried wetting them and putting seeds inside so he had to dig in it, he won’t touch it, and the vet said he’s slightly over weight.
