What do you do for a living? I feel like I don't have a career and my professors aren't helping me besides that I need to expand my portfolio. Are there places in st louis I could work? Any places that would use unreal engine?

Ive got a bachelors in fine arts with a major in game design, but that basically means I know how to make video games and what makes a good game and the fundamentals and such. Issue is that I dont know a good programming language enough to go into tech and asking my professors for help results in "just do game jams! Get your name out there and hope you get noticed!"

I can make my own games using unreal engine's visual coding system and know my way around unreal engine very well, but thats basically it. Did I waste 4 years of my life on a degree in cannot use?

I am working 2 part time minimum wage jobs at front desk. What do I do? Do I pivot? Is there still a place for me?
