Manx Snacks and Soft Drinks

Howdy!

I will be visiting your picturesque island.

I have this tradition of trying different snacks and drinks from places I visit, and I was wandering about what are the Manx ones.

Larne at Night

Hi There!

I will arrive at Larne harbour by ferry soon. My arrival time will be 00:30 at night. I have found accomodation close to Larne Town Park (Newington avenue). Is it safe to walk there so late from the harbour or should I get a cab or something. If so, then do you recommend a specific cab service?

Thank You So Much For Answers!!!!

Snyder's of Hanover

Hi there!

I have a question regarding the availability of Snyder's of Hanover pretzels in the UK and Ireland. I discovered these in the US and since then I searched everywhere in my country (Poland) but couldn't find them. Does anyone know if there is a place in the UK or Ireland ( as I will be visiting soon) where I can purchase some?

Thank You for all answers!

Castle Rushen or Peel Castle

Hi there!

I will be visiting your precious island and I have a question regarding which castle to visit - the Rushen or the Peel one. I heard that Castle Rushen is a reconstruction of a typical medieval castle, whilst Peel castle is a big kempt ruin with chapels and graves. I was wondering which place will offer me more actual history of the island, as I would like to see things like Ogham stones, rune stones and coins from the Kingdom of Sodor and Mann. Btw I will also visit the Manx museum. Thank You for all answers!!!!

Isle of Man trip suggestions

Hi there!

I am going to visit your beautiful island in July this year. I will spend 4 days on the island and below is a rough plan of what I am planning to see:

Day 1: Early arrival at Ronaldsway airport and bus to Douglas, which I will explore that day.

Day 2: Steam Railway from Douglas to Castletown and exploring Castletown with Castle Rushen. Then I will head over to Port Saint Mary, Port Erin and Cregneash for a nice long walk and open air Cregneash museum.

Day 3: Bus from Douglas to Peel and exploration of the town. Then I will head to Douglas from where I will go to Laxey.

Day 4: Either a hiking trip to Snaefell or a trip in the Ramsey/Maughold area to see things like Cashtal yn Ard and Maughold's well.

Now my question is: will I be able to complete such a plan and is it good? I tried to pair the island's history/heritage with it's nature in order to fully explore it.

Thank You for all answers!!!!
