Are there any episodes or scenes you won't rewatch?
I was curious about this because with such a devoted fanbase and only 12 episodes, it would be interesting to see if you had any episodes or parts of episodes that you refuse to rewatch when watching the series.
When you first discovered DHMIS, did you know the type of thing it was before watching, or did you find out the harder way? lol
reddit.comFavorite work by Jack Stauber?
Also, do you tend to like his music or videos more? Also the creepy/unsettling ones, or the funny, or some other elements you enjoy?
Do you listen to classical music, or play it, or both?
Curious to see the ratio of Classical musicians to Classical music enjoyers on this sub.
If both, did you start learning an instrument and then get into classical music, or had already listened to it and then decided to learn an instrument?
What kind of piano do you guys have?
Electric? Acoustic? Spinett? Studio? Upright? Grand?
Also, what are the pros and cons of the type you have, do you like it or do you want to change?
If you had to live the rest of your life either on the Equator, or in the arctic circle, which would it be?
reddit.comIf you could remove 1 episode from the star trek canon, what would it be?
It can be a really bad episode, an episode that introduces a plot point you don't like, or a piece of information/backstory about a particular character you'd rather not be true, an episode that fails or is counterproductive to the franchise in some other way, any reason you want. But just one episode, not a series or a season etc.
Edit: I may as well put mine on here, the only episode I actively Hate. I can't stand it, it is the definite worst episode in all of star trek that I have seen, (which is everything up to S2 of SNW) and it introduced an origin story into cannon that absolutely made a legacy race worse and added nothing to the greater star trek universe. Very Unlikeable characters, annoying, and just a pointless use of paramount's money... >!The Trouble With Edward!<

Chasse-Neige, Liszt Transcendental Etude No. 12
This is Liszt's Transcendental Etude no. 12
Well, this is a sign I've been spending too much time on the Internet.
For those of you who don't know, this is a picture of Ron Desantes, Florida's Governor. (I live in Florida.) I read the beginning of the headline as "We unalived..." 🤦
While doing housework I realized this
I just realized the irony in Far beyond the stars, where Herb says that "Making it a dream guts the story", when the entire episode is literally a dream about Benny Rustle inside Sisko's mind, and that doesn't gut the story at all.
Which Liszt Transcendental Etude should I learn next?
I know 8, 6, 3, 12, and just started learning 4. Which one should I learn next? I'm really enjoying this, it's so fun. Wanted to get your opinions.
Which US states are the most culturally significant?
If you could only keep states that could represent the USA on their own with no other states, and had to get rid of the rest, which ones would they be? How many would you have?
I started with an obvious 4 states:
California - Everything's happening there
Texas - Iconic Symbol of American West
Florida - America's Vacation Destination
New York - NYC, Time Square, Niagara Falls
Besides these most populous, and arguably most popular 4, (states that people outside the USA could name easily), I came up with the following states, with reasons for each state after:
Arizona - Grand Canyon
Nevada - Las Vegas
Wyoming - Yellowstone
South Dakota - Mount Rushmore
Minnesota - Twin cities, Mall of America
Tennessee - Smoky Mountain National Park/ Home of Country Music
Hawaii - It's Hawaii
Alaska - It's Alaska
*Washington D.C. - Capital
------
*Bonus non-state
----------------------------------------------
Population is not national or cultural significance, but it does count for something. These next states are the 10 most populated (minus the top four already mentioned) plus some bonus reasons why they may be included regardless of population. Though it is in this case only, more about population for these states.
-------------
Georgia - Atlanta
North Carolina - To be fair, has the other 1/2 of Smoky Mountain National Park
Pennsylvania - Philadelphia, Pittsburgh
Ohio - Huge State Pride, (Memes?)
Illinois - Chicago
Michigan - Detroit, Great Lakes
New Jersey - Historical Disputes with NY, Historical significance
Virginia - Historical settlements and significance, Virginia Beach
-------------
I threw in #11 New Jersey and #12 Virginia to be safe.
------------------------------------------
The Rest:
Massachusetts - Boston, Cambridge
Washington - Seattle, Seattle Space Needle
Missouri - Kansas City, St Louis, Gateway Arch
Louisiana - New Orleans
Colorado - Rocky Mountain National Park, Vacation Destination, Skiing, Denver
25 States + DC needed to represent the Whole Country, and 25 States not.
The 25 States that I couldn't come up with any reason why they would be nationally or culturally significant are:
Wisconsin
Indiana
Kentucky
South Carolina
Alabama
Mississippi
Arkansas
West Virginia
Oklahoma
Kansas
Nebraska
North Dakota
Iowa
Delaware
Maryland
Rhode Island
New Mexico
Oregon
Idaho
Montana
Maine
Vermont
Connecticut
New Hampshire
Utah
If you have any reason for any of these states to be included in the list of culturally significant states, or if you think that some of the ones that I put shouldn't be there, please let me know in the reply section. I don't know everything about all the states, so I would like to hear your thoughts. Please let me know what you think.
Disclaimer: I know every state is important and unique, and all must be included. I'm only talking here about being significant / needed for the country.
I've only been to usa and Canada, 17 states in the usa though.
