I need help with my studies.

AsalamAlikom.

So I've finished ny bachelor's degree in English this year and I'm trying to make the decision to pursue the master's degree is the right choice.

i do love my field and i always try to thrive and improve myself, but I don't know why i feel like I've been making wrong decions academically and its mentally draining.

i know i got to improve my soft skills and other stuff to stand out in the market, can you guys advice me what things i should take courses/work/volunteer...in to make a good CV?

For those who studied english, did pursuing master's degree help your career? or is it just a waste of time.

Are humans self-destructive or is it just me ?

How can someone know what they should do to be better and not do it, i know it might be laziness or procrastination but why i end up doing stupid things and staying in the cycle of negativity.

and also doing things that i know i wouldn't benefit from them at all. or bad habits as we say. how can someone have self control and trust themselves when they make a promise to change something because I don't believe myself or anything i say to myself. i don't want to get those "dopamine rushes".

can someone tell me if they experience the same issue that I'm going through because i don't want to waste my youth and potential doing nothing and then regret about when there's no time to regret and even doing something dumb to myself.

Why humans are self-destructive?

humans be doing the same cycle of destruction daily, fully aware of what could destroy them and what can make them go forward in life.

but there are some people keep doing the same thing over and over again, i know it could be because our mind want survival. but sometimes self-destruction can feel like a good thing. it gives pleasure like what? and that why we can't stop this loop.

at the same time, we are also aware if we keep doing this. well nothing good is gonna happen in the long-term and especially for youth. and regret is gonna be brutal.
