Do Roblox commissions feel way too risky to anyone else?

I’ve been thinking about how messy Roblox commissions can be.

A lot of deals still happen through Discord DMs, random portfolios, vouches, and trust alone. Sometimes it works, but a lot of the time it feels risky for both sides.

Clients don’t always know who is legit. Developers can get ghosted or underpaid. Scam reports are hard to verify. Portfolios are scattered. Beginners also don’t really have a clear path to become commission-ready.

I’m working on a project called DevForge to try solving some of this.

The idea is a platform for Roblox creators with verified profiles, portfolio proof, reviews, trust signals, safer commission workflows, marketplace listings, and eventually learning resources.

I’m not trying to make this sound like an ad. I’m mainly trying to figure out if this is actually a real problem for other Roblox developers and clients too.

If you’ve done Roblox commissions before, what was the worst part of the process?

And what would a platform need before you would actually trust using it?
