My applications were complete on dates ranging from 8/30-9/11, and I’ve received 2 Rs and no IIs. Is this cycle over, should I retake the MCAT (worst part of my application) in January to salvage, etc?

I attend a college on the east coast and am debating whether or not to apply to its med school. I dislike my college, its culture, and its immediate location, but I like a neighboring part of the city. Example: hate UChicago and Hyde Park but love downtown Chicago. However, my PI works at my college and would likely have some say in getting me into the mdphd program. Should I still apply? It’s a great school, but 12 years is a damn long time to be somewhere I hate.
I took the MCAT 1.5 weeks ago and have little motivation, but most importantly, I have no idea how to start! I read some sample personal statements and why MD PhD essays, but just am at a loss for how it where to begin. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
