Preconquest consciousness

what do modern anthropologists think about Richard Sorensen’s Preconquest consciousness, particularly claims like

1.preconquest people live in a “liminal” mind state with no abstractions and in an perpetual present

  1. they have basically no hostility or negative emotions and these only emerge when they come in contact with conquering peoples

  2. that children raised in close physical contact with adults develop a tactile language very early and

  3. that there even is such a thing as preconquest peoples that have unifying traits

Hermes on VPS - best practices

I installed Hermes on a VPS (Hostinger, in a container) because part of the attractiveness for me is that it can work while I'm away from my computer.
I'm wondering however what is the best way to set it up:

- What is the best way to navigate the file sturcture? I'm using Obsidian for deliverables, synced every day on my laptop. But what is the best way to visualize Hermes's own file structure? What would you keep on Obsidian and what on native filesystem? (eg, would you keep agents.md on Obsidian?)

- What is the best way to get a good overview of what Hermes is currently doing? tehre is the web dashboard but it's kind of crap. I saw it is possible to get Hermes for desktop and use that to control the instance on VPS, but it looks super messy to set it up. Any other alternatives?

- In general, how do you structure your work? Can someone provide a sample of how they are working with filesystems for their life in general, various macro-projects, sub projects within each macro projects and tasks within each of those, etc.? Do all projects share profiles, or are there project specific profiles? Do they share kanbans? When you launch the main chat, does it open outside of any folder? is there a simple way to launch a chat within a project, like you would on claude Cowork?

Thanks in advance!

Cowork not as good as Chat?

My cofounder and I both had extensive Claude Chat projects with dozens of source documents, that knew our company very well. But it was separate projects, and we didn’t want to pay for 5 seats of a business account. So we decided to shift to cowork, both of us running our own cowork project from a share Google drive folder, synced on each of our laptops. To create the folder, we asked Chat to create a bunch of docs explaining what it knows about our product, customers, company, etc. then we added a Claude.md file with general context, a routing mechanism, etc.

it’s an ok solution, but I constantly have the impression that our current solution is not as smart as Claude chat.
Beside the fact that every response takes much longer, requests are sometimes not routed correctly, Claude seems to not always take into account all the context it has available on a given topic. It will sometimes say “i dont know who x is” when x is clearly mentioned in one of the docs in the folders it has access to. And just as a general thing, Claude feels less sharp and knowledgable about our company. Any idea what is going on and how we might improve our system?
