Current job market in the Netherlands – how has your experience been?
Hi everyone,
I’m curious to hear about your experience with finding a new job or switching jobs in the current market with all the rapid changes happening. Have you personally been impacted by AI, automation, or outsourcing?
I know a few people in my close circle who have been laid off due to outsourcing. I work in finance/banking myself, and lately I’ve been finding it surprisingly hard to even secure interviews. I have around 8 years of experience in a fairly niche banking product, and it feels like networking has become one of the most important factors at this stage.
The problem is that my current role doesn’t really give me many opportunities to interact with people outside my team/company, so I honestly don’t know how people build those networks :/
PS: The reason I’m looking isn’t because I’m unhappy where I am, I’ve just reached a point where I don’t see much room for growth in my current role, so moving on feels like the next logical step.
