Hey everyone! I’m trying to decide between going straight into MRI or doing X-ray first. MRI is appealing to me for these reasons: No radiation, Slower paced, Strong pay). X-ray is appealing because: (cross training ability, strong pay, active) For those who work in MRI or X-ray, which would you recommend? I just want job security and safe working conditions. I am willing to go through the hard schooling. Any regrets or insights or appreciated!

I am in NYC but definitely want to be a traveller at some points in my career. I’m considering MLS or a Direct-entry MRI program.. I am really looking for a career that is:
AI-resistant
Good pay + strong job demand
Low burnout/stress
Not constantly rushed or high-pressure
Hanging out with coworkers in a fun environment
Active, but not physically exhausting
Good work-life balance (when I clock out, I’m DONE)
Low emotional/trauma exposure
Safe for my body
Flexible scheduling / possible travel contracts
Straightforward, not too complicated or like a lot of confusion. Just simple work that i will get good at and be on autopilot or close to it.
Basically, I want a career where I can work at my own pace, have energy after work, and actually see myself being happy long-term. Like be honest, are you happy and would you suggest pursuing?

hey everyone! i have a bachelor degree & switching to science. i wanted to hear from real people who work in histology. do you suggest going straight to HTL or getting an MLS and then eventually training into HTL for more options?

hey everyone. im 24 M, and i have been interested in being a histotech for more than a year now but honestly the chemical exposure is a big deterrent for me. just feeling sad and confused because the career sounds nice and i was excited because i thought i figured it out, but I also dont want to risk my health so I just feel lost. I would appreciate any input or advice. not sure where to go from here.
I am 24, male, and genuinely just want to hear from histotechs (HT or HTL) on whether this field is worth going to school for, or if I should pursue a different allied health career. I am located in the NYC area but also open to going to other states, etc.
