Hi guy's, I got my first credit card in May. I have a $2200 limit.

So far I haven't touched the credit card unless I have money in my debit to pay it. So far I have used it to pay my monthly installments of tuition for summer classes. And then immediately paid it off, and I use it to pay rent, groceries and bus tickets(I don't have a car).

I've been told to always wait for the closing period to get the full benefit, but that just seems too risky for me. And I've been told that paying huge amounts like tuition will lower credit growth.

I currently have the BoFA customized Rewards credit card, and I honestly don't know how to make the best use of it. I've tried watching YouTube videos, but they don't give you the actual meat.

And I'd like to do more with my finances in another way, but I don't know what or how. I'm currently paying for my tuition, and other expenses, and I don't think I can afford to have a savings account right now or a ROTH IRA account. Because I won't have enough to put in it and will just end up taking out the savings.
