Small explanation of my AU: Takes place after The Bite. With Evan dead, Mrs. Afton and William's relationship strains, causing her to leave. William sinks himself into his work, leaving Michael to take care of Elizabeth.

(Mrs. Afton is blind in this AU, but I'll somewhat ignore that so she can rate design aspects!)

William: 48 Years Old

Mrs. Afton; 40 Years Old

Michael: 18 Years Old (16 at time of The Bite)

Elizabeth: 11 Years Old

Evan: 7 Years Old (at time of The Bite

So, it's been a few days since my OC Maker series of posts concluded, and I thought I'd give a small out of universe update for anyone following or interested in the project! (Particularly the puzzle solving side) given as my original plans for it kinda went out the window

I was originally gonna make a much shorter ending to the story the day after the voting for the name concluded, for anyone wanting to know, Marcelleus (shortened to Marce for my own ease) was the name chosen, having the most votes across all 3 subreddits I posted to! (Submitted by u/Snowy_Kitty247)

HOWEVER!! I will now be using Marce and Smile as a prologue to an upcoming series I have in the works, which means more planning than expected is needed! But don't threat, they will be returning eventually with more puzzles and ciphers :)

(For clarification, the two and this project were always linked with the bigger project, just in a much less significant way!)

In the mean time, here's some teasers of both Marce's slightly reworked design, with as much of the voted choices left intact as possible, as well as some future characters from what I'm working on!

I also just want to thank everyone who partook in my posts, whether it be voting, solving the ciphers and puzzles, or even just following along! This wouldn’t be possible without all of you :D

Your OC is led through the doors by a strong stranger, a Soldier if they were already familiar with the hierarchy. The room was smaller than they expected. Around 5 fancy looking ladies were inside, interacting with other people and asking them questions while interacting with floating screens. They were led to one of the ladies just as she said goodbye to another person. Being shown a couch to sit down on, the lady, Nephlene, stood in front of them with a smile too warm for her face.

"There you are... Serial 8XY. Are you ready for your Assimilation?" Without waiting for an answer, she continues. "Good. Please, be honest. Tell me everything about yourself that may be useful for your classification. We have ways to know if you lie, so don't bother."

I think I posted one of these before, but I made some OCs inspired by early 1900s cartoons! Here's some backstory on them, in order of pictures.

Wraen – A demon who worked in Hell for The Devil. His job was guiding mortals to commit sin and go to Hell when they died. However, he grew lazy and surrounded himself with cheap luxury. The Devil grew sick of this and banished him to Earth until he made up the work he had slacked on.

Calco – A regular guy working an office job he hates. He had dreams of being an artist, but nobody ever saw his art as being worth anything, so he gave up on the dream and pursued a regular accounting job. His life was a dull cycle of the mundane, until Wraen crash landed on his apartment balcony.

Rosa – A high ranked Cupid, praised for her ability to solve any conflict of love! She has a side gig of singing Jazz, but she focuses more on her work. She's never had a couple she couldn't match! Until she met a mortal until a succubus's spell...

Marie – A succubus from Hell! Unlike Wraen, she takes her job seriously. However, she still sees it as work. Her real passion is performance! She became a popstar on Earth and uses her performance to gather souls. Over time, she grew to love the spotlight, singing, and dancing more than her actual job

(Side note, they are all adults aged 20+!)
